Benny rocked back and forth. They were bored. They glanced up at Francis. He was pacing around the old storage room. Benny thought he was worried. They weren't really sure.

Francis groaned and slid down the wall. Benny felt a slight tug of memories from the other them. They needed to... comfort, him. They didn't know very much what comfort was. They knew it was nice! So, be nice?

They walked over and sat next to him. They didn't really know what to do, even with the vague sense of direction of the other them. They weren't the other them, so they didn't know what to do. They wished they were the other them for a moment.

Benny scooted a bit closer. Francis didn't seem to mind. They slowly opened their arms for a hug. Francis blinked. Benny huffed, rolling their eyes. They pulled Francis to their chest. They snuggled Francis close.

Francis shook. Benny didn't know why. Maybe it was a good thing. They let out a purr, resting their chin on his head. Francis shook more. Benny thought that was a good sign.

They felt a sticky wetness on their chest. It was a bit uncomfortable, but Francis needed... comfort. Whatever that was. Benny thought this was normal. Maybe it wasn't, maybe it was.

But they had learned they weren't all that normal themselves. They were weird shadow things. Francis explained that they couldn't be seen by anyone or anything. That it would be bad. But Foxy was nice.

A weird noise came from Francis. Benny blinked, shifting their head down to look at Francis. Benny didn't quite know what that meant, but they didn't care. They hummed quietly. All that mattered was that their brother got better.

Francis let out a weird, choked sound. Benny nuzzled into their older brother's head. They hummed a little louder, tapping their fingers on their places on their brother's back.

Francis curled up in their arms, and Benny continued to hum. They would keep up until their brother was better.
