Vanessa stared at the ground a few feet in front of her. There was a strange overlap in her vision in one specific spot. It was... colorful? But very, incredibly dull. But oh so colorful. She didn't quite know how to describe it.
She shuddered as she walked through it, a phantom sensation, a smooth, cool substance vaguely like slime pulling at her skin. Which was weird, she had on jeans, high socks and shoes. She frowned.
She swallowed thickly, glancing at Gregory. He scrunched up his face and glanced downwards as he stepped through one of the weird overlap spots. They locked eyes for half a second, but a million words were shared as they did.
They both could tell on some level there was something other where they had walked. Vanessa glanced at the walls, catching a couple small spots and specs all around her. She casually changed their direction, walking over to the wall on their left.
Her looked over the wall, bit apparently couldn't see the odd, vaguely-there stain. She pressed a hand against it and shuddered. It was cool, and slightly tacky, and... almost like jelly? Or slime, as she had thought earlier.
It was an incredibly thin layer, and had a slight dryness to it. Gregory placed his hand on the wall beside hers, and his eyes widened. He slowly turned to look at her. They held eye contact, and she nodded grimly at him.
She whipped out her phone, pulling up the contacts. She needed Mike for this one.
