As much as Nia loved her job, sometimes she just needed a break. Maddie was seething about one thing or another, Dan was busy looking over something with Charlotte, and Jamilla- Jay? Jay.- was writing like a madman. Emillia was in training at the moment, and she wasn't close with anyone else. Jay and Emillia were last choices anyways. Everyone else was just... boring.

So, she was sulking in the employee lounge while she was on her break. She grumpily took a bite out of her pretzel, Immediately going back with it to scoop more cheese onto it. She barely blinked an eye as Ballora approached, as this was the one lounge she was allowed in.

"You are upset." The animatronic observed.

Nia swallowed and sighed. Ballora was right. She was upset. But it was just because this was the anniversary of her and her ex-friends breaking their group apart. None of them wanted to speak to her because she tried to look at all their views at once, instead of sticking with one of them.

"Yeah." Ballora looked at her worriedly. They sat beside her, her pink eyes locked onto her

They hesitantly placed her hand on her shoulder. Nia sunk further into the couch, determinedly taking a bite form her pretzel. Ballora tilted their head before speaking.

"Do you wish to speak to me about it? I can listen if you want me to." Nia swallowed thickly before taking a swig out of her water bottle. She glanced between Ballora and the floor for a moment before giving in.

"It's the anniversary of me and my ex-friends group breaking up. They don't like that I tried to understand all of their views at once instead of just picking one to be loyal to." Nia mumbled. Ballora nodded in acknowledgement, before pulling Nia into a hug. She froze, before melting into the hug. It felt really, really nice to be held again.

She wished it could last forever.
