1850-Paris, France Opera House

Colin just turned 6. The only friend he ever knew was that girl that saved him from the freak show. Her name is Arlene. She made sure he has a friend and that he won't truly be alone. He stays hiding below the opera house. No one has ever seen the child. He grows a love of music and the opera and started to study it. To entertained himself he also set bobbie traps and secret passageways so he can get around unnoticed. 

1871

Shortly after Jasmine was brought to the Opera house, she was visited by the voice she believed was her angel of music. She had lost interest in music after her father died but Colin took her under his wing to teach her. She never saw him. She only heard his voice. As her voice started to sound better and her passion for opera was restore, Colin started to admire her and would continue to visit her when she is alone. At this time, she was 11 but that didn't stop this so-called Angel of music to start to form an obsession over. The obsession that from this point on will forever trap the talented Jasmine Daae. 

She has to focus on her craft. She must not have any distractions. The Phantom of the Opera is a strict teacher, but she was okay with that because she believed that he was who her father sent to her. She felt closer to her father. The only other person that new of these private teachings was Madame Lesch but she aided Colin with keeping this a secret. Madame Lesch was hired as Colin's personal massager, so he communicates with the managers through her, and she also made sure that Jasmine follows the rules that he left for her in order to take her rightful place as a great soprano.
