I loved the way you held my hand
While we walked off to class
When we ate in the cafe or
Just laid down in the grass
I loved the pet names that you made
How you called me your love
It made me feel so cherished like
A gift sent from above
I loved the way you held me close
Although it made you hot
The way you dragged my chair closer
Without a second thought
I loved the way you were so nice
You held so many doors
You walked the car-side of the street
Would grab my plate and yours
I loved the way that we would talk
At all times of the night
You'd tell me to go get some sleep
And make sure I'm alright
I loved all the attention that
You freely, gladly gave
You acted like I was the one
To save you from the grave
I had never been the dearest
Maybe never even close
That day I was enchanted when
You said you loved me most
I have no good excuse to give
I can't explain it all
Just thinking on the the things I did
Makes me feel rather small
I'm sorry it took half a year
Just to make me see
That I was not in love with you-
I loved you loving me
