Don't say that you are free to talk
That I can tell you anything
When at the hang out the next day
My secrets are what you will bring
Don't shower me in compliments
That even you don't think are true
For I will see all of your lies—
Not the fake rose-colored view
Don't buy me all that I could want
If you want something in return
I see no sense in countless gifts
With price tags I cannot discern
Don't act as if you do not care
About the things I do or say
I will not think that you are 'tough'
Instead I'll simply walk away
And don't promise you'll catch me
If someday perhaps I fall
When we both know you're the one
Who will push me off the wall
