I showed you a small, funny clip
That happened to be on my feed
We laughed and then you played your game
And I just wandered off to read
I told you about my new job
Both where it is and what I do
But you didn't seem that enthused—
It was a crappy job to you
I got into that fancy school
The one that I'd been praying for
And you were happy and were proud
Yet I still yearned for something more
You watch TV and sports all day
Why is it that you want me there?
Your focus is set on the screen—
The common air is all we share
There's nothing else that I can have
For I alone can't move this wall
So we will talk and talk and talk
And not say anything at all
