four months.

niall and november had been together for four months, and were falling more and more in love with each other as the days went by.

niall stopped spending the nights at november's, to her dismay. they fell asleep on facetime as a substitute, but november missed falling asleep next to her boyfriend.

the two hadn't seen each other in person for three days, but it was only because niall refused to hang out with her until the day of their anniversary because he had a surprise for her. november hated surprises, so she was just annoyed.

zayn walked into his apartment with a bag in his hand, and sat on the couch, watching niall get ready for his date. niall put the finishing touches of hairspray onto his hair and turned around, showing zayn how he looked.

"you look good. a bit too dressed up, but good," zayn nodded in approval.

"what's in the bag?"

zayn pulled out a miniature bag that was inside of the larger one and tossed it to niall. he opened it and gasped, immediately dropping it on the floor.

"what the fuck, mate? that wasn't easy to get!"

"weed, zayn? you have got to be kidding me! where did you even get this from? actually, don't answer that. i don't want to be apart of this."

niall picked up the bag carefully and tossed it back to zayn, who put it back into the larger bag, "it's not a big deal. you're overreacting. have you ever even been stoned before?"

"no, i didn't even know you smoked. i have to meet november at the park in two hours. i don't have time for this."

"chill out. first i find out you're still a virgin, then you're being a prude about me smoking weed?"

niall clenched his jaw and strutted into his room, slamming the door. he knew it was zayn's decision, but he didn't like the fact that he brought that into what was now their apartment. he texted november, telling her to wear the white dress that shows off her curves, and she responded with a quick, "k".

niall spent half an hour making sure he had everything he needed for the date. he knew four months wasn't a big deal, but he liked treating november like she was a princess, and showing her that every month that they were together was special to him.

once he was done double checking he had everything, niall went into the kitchen and made himself a sandwich. zayn on the other hand, was in the living room smoking, which made niall infuriated, so he just rolled his eyes and ignored him.

"you look stressed, niall. come take a hit with me," zayn had a smug look on his face, holding out the rolled joint he was currently smoking.

"i have a date in an hour and a half and i don't smoke."

"just one hit. it's not like you'll get high or anythin'. live a little!"

niall shifted the weight on his feet and stared at the door, then to the joint that was in zayn's hand.

"no, zayn. i'm gonna go take a quick nap. please wake me up before 8:00."

"will do."

november waited at the park gazebo across the street from her house, patiently waiting for niall. she had texted him ten minutes ago, asking where he was, but he never replied. she sighed, picking a flower from a bush nearby and picked the petals off.

"he loves me, he loves me not, he loves me, he loves me not, he loves me," november smiled, throwing the petals on the ground and tapping the concrete floor with her foot.
