the night consisted of tender kisses and nothing but sweet talk. it was cute, honestly, even if november was still quite upset about the whole club incident. nonetheless, niall made her feel like she was the only girl in the world; he always did.

it was the late afternoon, and november was cuddled up against niall, slightly snoring. maura wanted to wake them up, but they looked too cute, and they needed their sleep anyway.

harry, liam, and louis were out having lunch somewhere, since they didn't have anything to do since niall wasn't awake. thanksgiving was three days away, so maura decided to go to the market and start getting all of the things she needed.

niall was the first to wake up, the sun pouring in from the blinds. it was overcast, but it looked like the sun was coming out. the weather was pretty bipolar, which is why niall loved los angeles so much. it might be hot the majority of the time but at least they had beaches and lots of public swimming pools.

the blonde didn't want to wake november, but it was the afternoon and not eating wasn't healthy, so he shook her lightly, moving a piece of hair away from her face. she groaned, not wanting to be woken up. jet lag truly was the worst thing, and she was glad she hadn't experienced it until now.

"we need to get up," niall murmured.

"dont wanna," november whined, nuzzling her face into the crook of niall's neck.

"as much as i enjoy cuddling with you, we need to eat and get dressed."

november finally gave in, sitting up and rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand. they both smelled like alcohol, and were in need of a good shower, but november didn't feel comfortable showering with niall under his mother's roof.

a few minutes later, niall and november were out of bed and kind of relieved that they had the house to themselves. they took a shower together and quickly got dressed before heading into the kitchen and eating cereal on the couch together.

it was nice, just them two. november loved niall's friends, harry especially, since he was so easy to talk to, and it's not like he would tell niall anything she said. the majority of the time they texted, it was about everyone who made fun of her, and harry didn't understand, since he was white, but he tried his best to give his input and november loved him nonetheless.

"i was thinking about taking you sight seeing, just you and me. how's that sound?"

gulping down the last of her cereal, november nodded, "that sounds great, ni. why just you and me though? what about the guys?"

"what's wrong with it being just us?" niall rose a brow at his girlfriend, scooping cereal into his mouth.

"there's nothing wrong with it, i love spending time with you! i just don't want them to feel left out."

"they don't care, baby," niall chuckled, "louis and harry are too busy doing whatever it is they do, and liam would just skype sophia. they'll be fine."

without hesitation, november agreed to go, just as soon as she called bri and checked in on her, much to niall's dismay. yes, he was fond of bri, but ever since she told november she was pregnant, that's all november talked about. bri this, bri that, baby this, baby that. it's not that niall hated it, but it got annoying after a while.

while niall was busy fixing his hair and changing into actual clothes (he was in his boxers and a long sleeve shirt), november called bri, completely forgetting about the time change. on the fourth ring, bri answered, the sound of sheets ruffling on her end.

"i'm sorry, did i wake you?"

"it's 4:30 in the morning, nov. what do you think?" bri yawned.

"sorry. i forgot about the time difference. how are you feeling? how's everything with julius? pumpkin?"
