when november got to the small café right outside of UCLA, she greeted bri with a tight hug, wincing a bit. bri noticed and smirked at her, helping her sit down.

"how have you been?"

"pretty good. how are you and your new boyfriend doing?"

the waitress came by and took their orders, handing both of them glasses of orange juice.

"me and julius are doing fine. what i want to know about is you and niall. you look.. different," bri took a sip of her juice.

"i feel different," november replied.

"your limping confirms everything."

november practically spit out her juice.

"confirms what? i-i don't know what you mean," november innocently smiled.

"you know exactly what i mean lil miss virgin mary. oh wait.."

november blushed, tapping her nails on the table. the waitress came back with their food and refilled their drinks, then walked into the kitchen to grab the other customer's food.

"why didn't you tell me?"

"last night was the first time," november took a bite out of her toast, "is it really that noticeable?"

"no, but i know you better than you know yourself. you're limping quite a bit and i don't know... you just have this sort of glow to you."

bri began to cut up her pancake, slipping a piece into her mouth. november did the same, practically moaning from how good it was.

"how was it? be honest."

"it was.." november tried to gather the right words, "unlike anything i've ever experienced before. the pain was awful though. i'm still pretty sore, obviously."

"that's normal. i'm not even gonna ask you if you bled or not. that shit is nasty," bri scrunched up her nose.

"i know this might sound rude, but does julius smoke weed?"

bri gave november a weird look, taking another bite out of her pancake.

"yeah. why? you looking to buy some off him?"

"no! no. i don't smoke. you know that. i just wanted to know if he knew a shahid?"

"a sha-who?"

november shook her head, "naughty boy."

"ohh," bri laughed. "yeah, he might. he's one of the top dealers in the city. he has a bunch of spawns selling dope for him. again, why?"

"i'm trying to get to the bottom of something," november simply said.

"which is?"

"so niall's best friend, harry, has a boyfriend named louis, who is also niall's best friend, knows zayn. zayn just started hanging out with sha- i mean, naughty boy, and nobody likes him. like, at all. i just wanna know what he's up to," november blabbered on, making bri's eyes go wide.

"first of all, woah. second of all, nov, i love you, but you're like, five. you don't wanna mess with naughty boy and his crew. i know zayn kicked niall out but that's probably because they're growing pot or some shit in his old room. don't get involved. you're gonna end up gettin' hurt," bri warned.

november nodded, not knowing what else to say. she wanted to get naughty boy out of her friend's lives and have everything go back to normal.

"i miss sharing a dorm with you. my new roommate is a total goodie two shoes."
