niall woke up with a burning sensation all up and down his back. the events from the previous night came rushing into niall's head, making him turn over and press a kiss to november's bare shoulder.

she tossed and turned until she was facing niall, who was just staring at her. her eyes fluttered open, and she smiled tiredly at the boy in front of her.

"good morning, beautiful. how'd you sleep?"

"good," she yawned, shuffling closer to niall. "i'm sore."

"you're sore? have you seen what you did to my back?"

niall turned over, showing november his now scratched up back. she traced one of the many scratches with her finger, making niall wince.

"maybe i should cut my nails," november giggled.

niall turned back over and shut his eyes, knowing it was way too early to be up. he didn't have classes that day and november didn't have to go to class until noon, letting them have the morning to themselves.

"don't go back to sleep. make me breakfast," november pouted.

niall opened an eye but then closed it, fake snoring to make november annoyed. she grabbed his cheeks, making him look like a fish. he opened his eyes and tried talking, but it just came out muffled.

november let his cheeks go, laughing her head off. niall loved it when she laughed.

"fine, fine. french toast?"

"yes please."

niall climbed out of bed, naked backside on full display, and grabbed a pair of boxers and sliding them on.

"be back in a few."

november quickly ate her food and got ready to go to her first class. she had an hour to get to class, which was good, but she didn't want to risk being late. chloe was on her way to pick her up, so she grabbed her textbooks and kissed niall on the head before heading out the door.

"i'll see you later, ni. do you want me to put neosporin on your back again?"

"no, i'm fine. 'm just gonna skype the lads and call my mum."

"when do i get to meet her?"

niall shrugged, "whenever you come to ireland with me. maybe over thanksgiving break you can."

"i don't even have a passport."

"then we'll get you one."

"i've never been out of the state."

"how are you even alive?"

november chuckled and ruffled niall's hair, finally heading out the door.

"so you broke up with zayn."

chloe parked the car in the campus parking lot and checked her makeup in the mirror. november nudged her arm, finally getting her attention.

"i did."

"why? i thought you were gonna stick it out?"

chloe got out of the car and leaned on the window, waiting for november to get out. november sat in the same position and waited for her to keep talking.

"i was, but he was just being so distant and i just felt like we weren't connecting anymore.. not that we ever did."

"i know why he was acting like that towards you and ni," november undid her seatbelt and got out of the car.
