Winter had arrived in Hill Street Neighborhood, and everyone was enjoying the first snow of the season. Now normally it was a little too warm in Southern California for snow to fall, but this year seemed to be very special, because when everyone woke up one day in December, the snow was all over the ground in a thick white blanket! It was a real winter wonderland!

The town itself never looked merrier either. A huge Christmas tree had been set up in the town square, covered from top to bottom with sparkling lights, colorful, gleaming ornaments and shimmering gold and silver tinsel. The snow gathering on the branches made it look even more beautiful as well! The shops were all decorated with lights, wreaths, ribbons and greenery, carolers were gathered near the entrance to the park, all crooning famous Christmas carols, and people rushed about, carrying the gifts they were bringing home to wrap for their loved ones.

On this fine day, Huckleberry Hound and his friends had their scarves and mittens on as they went into the park to have some fun in the snow. Snagglepuss was making a snow angel, Hokey Wolf and Ding-a-Ling were going down the hill on their sled, Mr. Jinks was making snowballs, and Huck, Pixie, and Dixie were building a snowman. Huck gave it buttons for eyes, a carrot nose, and a smile made of lumps of coal. He then placed a hat right on its head.

"I wish he could come to life," he said to the meeces. "Wouldn't that be magical?"

"Yeah," Pixie agreed. "Would he talk?"

"Of course!" Huck grinned. "He would sing, dance, and have lots of winter fun!"

But at that moment, he felt a snowball hit him right on the head. "Oh!" he cried as he placed his paws over his mouth. He turned around, and there stood Jinks, chuckling with his paw over his mouth.

"I gotcha, Huck!" he chuckled.

Huck smiled and made a snowball of his own. Then he threw it right back at Jinks, and it hit him on the stomach!

"Hey!" Jinks cried out.

But Huck just couldn't help laughing. "Well, two can play this silly game! SNOWBALL FIGHT!!"

And the two started throwing snowballs at each other, laughing and teasing each other the whole time. Snowballs flew everywhere, laughter filled the air, and both Huck and Jinks were enjoying themselves as they threw their snowballs at each other. Jinks hit Huck right on his back, but Huck was quick, and he threw his snowball in Jinks' face! The two of them flopped into the snow, and laughed and laughed and laughed. By the time they finally stopped laughing, they decided to call their little snowball fight a draw.

"You know, now that winter is here," Huck began. "I was thinking that we should...oh, oh! I almost forgot! It's almost Christmas Eve!"

"Christmas Eve!!" Pixie and Dixie chorused.

"That's right! I just looked at the calendar this morning and Christmas Eve will be here in just three days!"

"Then that means this is my first Christmas in Hill Street Neighborhood!" Snag exclaimed. "This is going to be a truly magnificent change of pace...exciting...exhilarating, even!"

"You're not the only one, Snag!" Jinks said. "TC and his friends will be spending their first Christmas here too!"

"And the Flintstones and the Rubbles?" Pixie asked.

"Actually, last year was their first, this will be their second!" Dixie pointed out. "But we missed out on spending Christmas with them last year, didn't we?"

"Yeah, because they were spending the holidays with Wilma's family."

"Oh, yeah. Well, they'll be around this year! We should invite them to join us!"
