Summer was in full swing in Hill Street Neighborhood. School was out again, and families were preparing for their vacations. But others decided to stick around and prepare for the tourists to arrive. This time of year, Los Angeles was always packed with visitors from other states, and from around the world, filling the beaches, the theme parks and even the local city scenes. But sometimes it was fun to just spend some time in the great outdoors, like the Scouts did every year when they went camping.

On this particular day, Huckleberry Hound had decided to spend a little time at the beach since Super Family Funland was a little too crowded. He sat on his beach blanket and sipped on some ice cold lemonade as he watched the people in the water swimming, splashing and catching some waves. Unfortunately, he didn't have his surfboard, but he did bring something else to the beach with him. Ever since he had received his guitar as a gift, he'd been wanting to start practicing how to play it. Now was as good a time as any on such a beautiful day full of laughter and sunshine.

His fingers plunked the strings as he tried to think of a new song to sing.

"Hot dog, sittin' on the beach
I feel the waves, but they're out of reach
Ain't gotta worry 'cause it ain't such a pity
When the fellers are happy and the girls look pretty..."

Just then, he heard a familiar voice speak up from nearby. "I see you're in a musical mood today, Huck!"

The blue hound looked up to see an old friend of his. "Boo-Boo!" he exclaimed. "What are you doing here?"

"We're taking some time off from filming our show!" the small bear replied. "How have you been doing, Huck?"

"Swell! And how are you and Yogi?"

"Oh, Yogi hasn't changed a bit," Boo-Boo giggled. "I'm doing fine myself."

"That's good to know." The blue dog paused and let out a sigh. "Boy, I still miss y'all something big. But I'm happy that your show is going good for ya'."

"Yeah. Say, I wonder..."

"Hm?" Huck looked curious. "What is it?"

"Well, summer's here, and it's been a little while since we spent any real time together. What if you came down to Jellystone for a little get-together?"

"Oh! You mean, I could come camping there?"

"Yeah! We'd love to have you! Have you ever thought about camping?"

"Come to think of it, no. At least not at Jellystone!" Huck almost burst out laughing. "Say, why didn't I think of that sooner?"

"You should come on over this weekend!" Boo-Boo grinned. "We'll invite everyone over for a campout!"

"Boo-Boo, you've got something there!" Huck smiled. "I'll tell the other fellers once I meet them later today for supper, which I know I will!"

"Great!" Boo-Boo cried. "Well, I'll let you get back to your guitar. I gotta make sure Yogi isn't raiding the snack bar again. Hehehe!"

"Alright, Boo-Boo!" Huck called. "See you at the campout!" And he tried to play another tune, but he suddenly played a wrong note.

"Hey, that's not right!" He scratched his head. "Hmmm...I guess I needs a bit of inspiration for another song."

Just then, a man who had brought his radio to the beach turned up the volume as a new summertime hit of the year began to play! The song began with a rollicking surf guitar riff!
