3rd POV•

You were on your way to a party,a birthday for a dear friend you haven't seen in years.

You were going to dinner, reservations your boyfriend had made that you couldn't wait to go to.

You were going home,a long day at work that exhausted you fully and you couldn't wait to get home and take a bath to relax yourself.

You were going somewhere.

You didn't see it.

Of course you didn't.

You didn't see it cause it wasn't important to you.

If a stranger, like you,had seen it maybe it would have been different.

If a stranger, like you,had seen it then maybe people would finally believe in monsters.

If a stranger, like you,had seen it then maybe it wouldn't have happened.

Maybe...

Down a dark street is where you'll hear the sound of quick breathing, the sound of shiny black heeled boots as the owner runs in a hurry.

Heart pounding for fear of what follows, eyes nervously searching for a place of safety where she can hide from the evil she knows has found her.

Pulse racing as she glances up at several colored street signs,no names she recognizes for she's just a traveler who's passing through.

A blue sign with white writing reads 'Safe Street',an odd ironic name considering her current task.

She would have laughed,if she wasn't so terrified.

Her ears could pick up the sound of the evil that followed her, slow heavy footsteps in a way to torture her.

cat chases mouse, tiger chases prey, evil monsters chase what they feel like chasing

Right now: her.

A dark cruel laugh sounds out,her blood freezes.

"Run all you want Penelope. It does no good."

The voice sends shivers through her, fear stroking harder as she continues her run at a quicker pace now.

A turn on the right,a possible safe haven depending on what lies behind the corner.

The girl with shiny black heeled boots chances it,speeding her way across the street to take the sharp turn on the right.

Silently praying for safety, hoping a safe spot is in her reach when she turns the corner.

Her heart seems to stop beating, dead end with a big blue trashcan at the end with no way out.

Her short self turns to leave, legs ready to run till she passes out to escape the evil monster that follows.

She turns, stopping dead while her blood runs cold as his tall shape starts coming toward her.

Her head starts to shake,no no no no no as she backs up deeper into the dark dead end she willingly ran into.

The closer he walked the more her nerves seemed to slip.

"Please...don't."

Her voice shakes, terror in her veins as she backs up till her spine hits the big blue trashcan.

Her short shape loses it when her skin hits the bin, terror running deeper once she's against it in fear of the trapped feeling she knows too well.

"No...please...please don't."

A shaky voice for the short girl with long hair, silver color seeming to shine so beautifully like little diamonds in the sky.
