"I'll see you guys tomorrow!" Christian bid his boss and colleagues good day when his cell phone rang. He checked collar ID to see it's Jessie. "Hello."
"Hey little bro. I, um, need to talk to you." She spoke in an awkward voice.
"Is everything okay?" he felt concerned.
"Sort of." He heard snickering in the background before dead silence. "Can you please come over to the manor?"
"If this is a prank or another ploy to get me and Jason back together." He warned.
"We already called Jason to explain the situation, but said that he would only help out if you grovel back to him."
"What is it you need help with?" he questioned.
"It's not me that's going to need the help. It's you." She answered.
"Why me?" he asked annoyed.
"Come over to the manor and we'll explain everything." she said.
He exhaled before saying, "Fine." He hung up and is heading to the family mansion to see what they have in store for him this time.
When he made it, Troy answered the door. "Master and the others are waiting for you in the den." Christian thanked him before entering and following him to where his relatives are. "Young Christian has arrived." he announced and gained their attention.
"Hey little brother." Ashley greeted him, and he couldn't help feeling weary.
His mother approached him with a gentle smile. "Please have a seat, sweetie." She gestured towards one of the chairs and he narrowed his eyes but did as told and sat down cautiously.
"Okay, what did you guys need to talk to me about that's so important?"
Everyone looked at Jessie. "Don't look at me." she said as she put her palms out. "I called him here so, you're it mom." She told Tracy, and she began blushing. Which is out of character for her.
"What's going on?" Christian couldn't help but feel concern trickling in.
Tracy coughed in her hand awkwardly. "Sorry. I'm a bit nervous since I've never had to have this kind of talk with the others since they are alphas and betas."
"Huh?"
"You know you are an omega, right?" she asked him.
"Right." he answered.
"And you know how mating season goes, right?"
"Mom." He feels his face heating up.
"Can I tell him?" Ashley chimed in.
"No." the others told her, and she pouted.
"Tell me what?" Christian demanded.
"Well, you know how animals give off pheromones during mating season. And um, that applies with shifters as well." His mom began.
"For the love of." Jacob cut her off. "What we are trying to say here, is that you're going into heat soon and don't have Jason to rub off his scent on you, so you'll be giving off a smell that practically says to take you anywhere at anytime."
"Jacob!" Tracy reprimanded.
"Sorry mom, but at the rate you were going, it would be too late to warn him, so I just put it bluntly." He explained himself.
"What?!" Christian screamed out.
Jessie smiled sheepishly. "Sorry little bro, but it's true. And you can see why this is awkward for most of us." She gave her siblings a look.
