Sunlight cracked through the black out curtains as Christian snored as he slept on his belly. The door opened and Graham stealthily entered the bedroom. "You have a big mouth even when asleep." He noticed his shadow was hovering over the unsuspecting red head with a pillow in its arms. Graham couldn't help grinning as he snapped his fingers and gestured for it to give them some space. It let out a wheezing noise as it tossed the pillow aside and scattered.

Graham approached Christian and took a seat at the edge of the bed. "What are you doing to me?" He asked him. "Are you trying to charm me so I could let you go?" Snoring was his answer. "I got bad news for you." He got up bent down and whispered in his ear. "You'll never leave. No matter how charming you may try being." He inserted his fangs deep into Christian's neck jolting him awake.

After Graham's morning drink, Christian was taken back to the dining hall to have breakfast. "You jackass." Christian hissed at his captor.

Graham didn't seem deterred by his words. He just casually drank from the coffee cup in his hands. "Not bad. But not as good as the coffee from your shop. What a shame it went down in shambles."

Christian's eyes widened. "What? You said you wouldn't hurt anyone if I went with you."

"The wizard had to be disposed of."

"No."

"Yes."

Christian struggled in the shadow's grip. "You monster!"

Graham let out an evil smile. "Your flattery is unnecessary."

"How could you smile like that? Don't you feel any remorse for any of your victims?"

"Not at all."

"How?"

Graham's smile faded. "Not everyone needs to be a good Samaritan. If you cannot accept that, then you are a naive fool." Christian squirmed more before bending down when he felt a sharp pain in his skull. "What kind of trick are you trying to pull now?"

"Blood." Christian whispered.

"What was that?" Graham asked.

"You took too much blood." Christian answered him. "If I don't get any soon, you'll have problems." He could feel his fangs slowly extending out. "You wouldn't happen to have a steak you could cook rare, would you?"

Graham gave him a look. "You're such a pain." He got up and approached Christian. "I shall offer you some of my blood, but if you try any funny business my shadow shall deal with you." To make a point, his shadow growled menacingly as it held Christian tightly.

"Understood." Christian grumbled.

Graham put his wrist to his mouth when he let out a mischievous smile. "Let's see how civilized you really are." He sat on Christian's lap and draped his arms around him. "Drink from my neck."

"What?!" Christian squeaked out.

"Drink from my neck or stay thirsty." Graham ordered.

"You're nuts."

"Keep talking and I'll pull away."

"But. But." Graham began to get up when Christian caved. "Okay. Okay. But I must warn you that I haven't bitten anyone in a while, so please don't send your shadow henchman after me too prematurely."

"Prematurely huh? That's a fancy word for a simpleton like you."

Christian blustered before leaning closer to the handsome young man who is his captor. He got a whiff of cologne as his mouth hesitantly made contact with Graham's neck.

Graham felt the light brushing of Christian's lips that sent a rush through his person. "Can you hurry it up?" He tried sounding as casual as possible. "We don't have all day."

"Finished." Christian announced when he pulled away.

"You just chickened out." Graham commented. "No one could drink that fast without it hurting the one you are drinking from."

Christian looked annoyed. "Get a mirror and see for yourself."

Graham stared at his shadow. "If you'd be so kind." His shadow stretched out to the upper floor before retracting with a compact mirror in its grasp. "Thank you." Graham took the item and opened it to see a small mark on his neck that could be mistaken for a bug bite. "Impossible." He began to feel dizzy as his shadow kept him steady.

"I told you." Christian spoke but froze when Graham leaned into him. "Are you okay?" He looked at the shadow behind him. "He needs orange juice. And stat." Graham's shadow started growling but stopped upon hearing its master moaning.

"Get what is needed." Graham commanded it. The shadow extended out of the room for a moment before shrinking back and presented the orange bottle.

"Let me get that for you." Christian took the bottle and twisted it open before handing it to Graham. "Take small sips."

"I think I can handle drinking a drink made for children." Graham retorted to him, and drank the sugary refreshment until his dizziness dissipated. "That helped a lot."

Christian couldn't help feeling relief. Under normal circumstances he would've taken this opportunity to make an escape attempt. But with the shadow around, it wouldn't have ended well if Graham lost consciousness. "No offense." Christian said. "But we need to figure something out or we're both going to suck each other dry."

Graham sat up. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with you." He hummed in thought. "It's too risky to purchase blood as well as hunt. The only other option we have is to exchange blood."

"Exchange blood?"

"Vampires can drink one another's blood at the same time. And instead of sucking each other dry, we'd both have drunk an equal amount of blood to keep us going." Graham explained. "As much as I hate sharing, it is necessary in order to extend your stay with me."

"Why do you want to keep me here?" Christian asked him. "I mean, you could've drained my blood and bought a plane ticket to South America by now."

"As tempting as that idea is, the supernatural police will find me immediately and take me in." He made himself comfortable on Christian's lap. "So, I'm afraid you're stuck with me."

"Why do you sound happy about that?" Graham didn't move, nor say a word as he held onto the red head. "Um, Graham?"

"Don't speak my name." Graham hissed out. "You are in no position to refer to me on a name to name basis."

Christian puffed his cheeks out. "Jackass." He repeated what he called him not noticing Graham's lips twitching upwards.
