Christian is riding the escalator down to the lobby of the airport where his family and Jason were waiting for him. "Hey guys."

"Hey little brother." Ashley sang in a tone that made Christian suspicious. "How was Tokyo?"

"The soiree got a little hectic, but the rest of the trip was awesome."

"Define hectic."

Christian narrowed his eyes at his family. "Is there something you know that I don't?"

"Father received a few phone calls regarding the dinner party." John explained. "And apparently every vampire there wants a piece of you."

"Why? I didn't do anything." Christian cried out. "I was on my best behavior, I swear."

Jacob crossed his arms and huffed. "Far from it."

"Huh?"

Ashley rushed over to pinch Christian's left cheek. "You were beloved, little bro. Even the great Ray Yamamoto asked dad if he'd allow you to court his sweet daughter." Christian has a look of dread on his face. Especially with the death glare his boyfriend was giving him and winced when Ashley pinched his cheek harder. "Christian, you little devil. I didn't think you had it in you."

Calvin pinched his nose and grumbled, "Good grief."

"It's not what you guys think, I swear." Christian cried out. "Isn't there anything you could do or say to clear things up with them?" He pleaded with his dad.

"I tried explaining how you've reconnected with your beloved, but they wouldn't listen." Calvin explained.

"Beloved?" Christian asked dumbly and winced some more when Jason got a hold of his other cheek.

"It's the vampire version of soulmate." Sarah clarified with Christian. "But it appears the Yamamotos won't let it go that easily. Especially with Ray Yamamoto taking a liking to you. And it is very rare for him to warm up to people."

"But. But."

Jessie smiled a bit at the scene. "C'mon guys. Stop pestering him so we can head home and figure out a way to save our brother from a potential arranged marriage."

"But I don't want to be married against my will." Christian whined.

"You should've thought that through before going around and being friendly with people." Roger reprimanded Christian.

"What was I supposed to do? Be a jerk to people."

"That would've spared you all this drama now, wouldn't it?"

Christian sulked as he was being dragged out of the airport. "Your ass is mine when we get dropped off at your place after dinner." Jason threatened.

"C'mon Jason. I don't want to date nor marry anyone else but you." Everyone paused and stared at Christian as his face flushes. "I, uh. You know what I mean." he slapped everyone's pinching fingers away as he rushed out in embarrassment.

"Did we all hear that correctly?" Jessie asked aloud.

Jacob patted Jason on the back proudly. "Looks like our brother plans to be with you forever."

"Are you sure you want that goofball?" Roger asked the pale zombie. "I think you could do better." Sarah jabbed him in the side as Jason stared at the exit where Christian ran out of.

"Perhaps one day, but not today." he mumbled and earned grins from his boyfriend's family.

A week later, Christian was trudging to the coffee shop and entered an hour before the place opened to the public. The bell rang to indicate his presence. "Morning." he greeted his boss and co-workers tiredly.
