The next day, Christian is sulking as he pours cream and sugar into a cup of hot coffee. "Are you alright?" one of his co-workers asked concerned.
"I'm a horrible person." Christian muttered sadly.
"Why? What happened?"
"Me and my ex were broken up. And then he wanted me back. But I wasn't so sure. And now that, I am sure. I blew it." Christian started sobbing making customers grow concerned.
"Let me cover this while you take a quick break." she offered, and he accepted it.
Instead of going to the break room, Christian went to the men's room to rinse his face as he attempts to calm down. "Harry? I mean, Charles?" he asked aloud when he noticed nobody else was in there. "I tried calling and texting him, but Jason won't answer. Was I out of line yesterday?"
There was nothing but silence before seeing the mirror magically fog up and the words, 'You could've said something else. Otherwise, you were in the right.' written on it.
"Something else? Like what?"
The words erased like an etch sketch and had, 'Yes, I want you. Or I love you.' printed on the mirror.
"Now I feel worse than I did five minutes ago."
That's when the words, 'Everything will work out.' replaced the last sentence.
"Thank you, Harry Charles. Wait, that doesn't sound right."
That's when the bathroom door opened, and Sean waked in. "Christian." he greeted him cheerfully.
"Hey Sean. Picking up coffee for work again?"
"Yup. But I had to splash some cool water on me. I'm burning up."
"Burning up? Like a fever? Should I call a doctor for you?"
That's when Christian noticed the foggy mirror saying, 'He's at the peak of heat. You need to leave.' Christian bristled at those words as Sean rinsed his face in the second sink.
"Well, my break is almost over, so I'll be seeing you outside." Christian is anxiously trying to sneak out with his scent leaking out when all of a sudden, he was yanked from behind and rammed against the cool tile wall. "Sean?" Christian asked as he tried wriggling away, but Sean's hold tightened on him.
"Please forgive me." Sean told him. "But I can't resist my urges anymore, and my wolf instincts are taking over."
"Please don't do this." Christian pleaded but was silenced when Sean kissed him roughly on the lips.
Christian is feebly trying to push Sean away and muffled for his bodyguard when he felt a tap on his side. "I didn't move away quick enough." he heard a pained whisper in his ear.
Christian's eyes widened in fear as Sean's hand is making its way to his pants when he pulled from the kiss. "Sean!" Christian yelled as he placed his hand over Sean's to try moving it aside. He let out a moan when Sean licked the nape of his neck.
"You taste so good." Sean grumbled as he continued licking and suckling Christian's sweaty skin.
"Please stop." Christian begged again. "You should be doing this with Briar."
"Screw him." Sean growled out and glared at Christian with his eyes glowing gold. "He would never let me dominate him like this. He always had to be in charge. So, let me ravish you."
Christian squirmed as he felt how hot and sweaty Sean's body is as he ripped his shirt off with one hand as if it were a piece of paper to reveal the six pack abs that Christian never knew was hidden underneath his clothing. It was distracting enough for Sean to lift Christian's arms and tie them up with the soaked piece of fabric.
"Don't give in." Charles whispered. "If you do, then you'll regret it." His words snapped Christian out of it.
"Sean. Sean!" Sean kissed his lips to silence him. Christian is thrashing around as Sean continued on. When Sean pulled apart, Christian is trying to catch his breath. And thoughts of Jason popped into his mind. Sean paused when he saw tears streaming down Christian's cheeks. "I'm sorry Jason. I'm so sorry."
"Christian." Sean breathed out.
Christian looked at him sorrowfully. "Please don't reject your mate. You chose him for a reason. Just because I'm easy to manipulate doesn't give you the right to do this."
"Manipulate? I would never." as the thought hit him, Sean ceased what he was doing and the golden glow in his eyes disappeared. "Dear luna. What have I done?" he asked himself as he looked at Christian in horror. "That's why I chose Briar." he caught Christian's attention. "He was the only one who wouldn't be easily swayed by me. Whether I was nice or not." he backed away from Christian giving Charles enough room to return the ripped shirt as good as new back onto Sean's body and made him disappear.
"What happened?" Christian asked his bodyguard.
"Don't worry." Charles mumbled. "I sent him to be with his mate. He should be fine." Christian exhaled a sigh of relief. "Are you alright? Should I take you to the doctor?"
"I'll be okay. Just please give me a few extra minutes." magically the time reversed to when his break started, and Christian slumped on the floor trying to process what happened. That's when the door opened again to reveal his boss this time.
"The others said you're going through something."
Christian grew annoyed. "Now somebody else walks in. Where were you twenty minutes ago?"
"Twenty minutes ago? I was in the office while you were making somebody's coffee salty with your crying." Christian realized what he just said and mentally slapped himself. "How about you head home early?" his boss offered. "Your shift is almost finished anyways, but no paid time for the missing hour."
"Okay." Christian reluctantly agreed to leave for the day. When his boss left, "Please don't tell the others about this." he told Charles. "They have enough to worry about as it is."
He heard his phone Bing and saw a text saying, 'Your dirty little secret is safe with me.'
