When the van came to a complete stop in front of the family manor, Christian dragged himself out and glared inside. "For peep sakes man, take a cold shower." He shut the door and turned around to see his parents looking at the scene in amusement. "Mom. Dad. It isn't what it looks like."

"No need to be embarrassed, son. You are a sexually active young man that may have gotten carried away in the heat of passion."

"Dad." Christian feels his face heating up.

"Now. Now." His father said. "If you and Jason share a room, please try to keep it down during all hours of the evening. Luckily, my old colleague had just arrived, and shall see you around noon. You are off tomorrow, right?"

"We are not sharing a room, and Jason is not staying over." Christian hissed at him before realizing what he said. "Wait, your old friend is here?"

"Yes. He checked into the Hyatt downtown."

The sound of another vehicle caught everyone's attention. Headlights shined bright before revealing a red Jeep Grand Cherokee pulling up. The door opened, and Jessie exited.

"Hey everybody." She greeted. "The kids have been dropped off and are in good hands, so what did I miss?"

Ashley grinned wide. "Boy. Do we have a story to tell you guys."

"Sis." Christian started.

"What?" she asked him with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes. "Don't you want to tell everyone how Sean's ex-boyfriend went after you? Or how you made him second guess who his mate is?"

"Sean isn't sure who his mate is?" Jessie squeaked in surprise.

"Nope." Ashley replied.

"How is that even possible?"

Roger blew a raspberry. "For reasons unknown, he doesn't believe that little mean bastard is his mate. He has this crazy idea that this knucklehead may be his actual mate."

"You're kidding, right?" Jessie asked.

"I wish I was."

Jessie looked at Christian. "And what do you think? Is Sean a potential mate for you?" Jason had gotten out of the rental van and narrowed his eyes at the red head.

"What? No." Christian answered swiftly. "I may not understand a whole lot about supernatural stuff, but I do know who my mate is."

"Who is..." Jacob trailed off.

Christian's face began to flush. "You guys already know who it is."

"But we want to hear it from you." John came out of nowhere and whispered into his right ear.

Christian's face turned redder as he mumbled the name incoherently.

"Mind trying that again?" Sarah asked.

"Yeah." Ashley said. "I don't know about everyone else, but I couldn't hear you clearly."

"Then figure it out! Cause I'm not repeating myself!" Christian shouted before pushing past his family members and stomping up the stairs to enter the manor.

Jason sulked as Jacob put his hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry." he said. "We're pretty sure who it most likely may be. And I'm pretty sure you know who it is." he clicked his tongue at Jason before heading inside as the others smiled at him as a way of assurance.

When dinner was being served an hour later, "I can't believe you met Sean's grandmother and Briar at the same time." Jessie said as everyone's eating and conversing about what happened at the fair.
