"Could you repeat that?" Jacob asked Christian as he leaned closer to him.

"Mm."

"Water?" Christian nodded his head.

"Here you go, sweetie." Tracy rushed with a cup of water with a straw sticking out of it. "Take your time. We can't help you drink it, so."

"What's taking them so long?" Jason growled. "We called them a couple of hours ago."

"Maybe they're stuck in traffic?" Ashley sounded unsure.

John is observing Christian drinking water. "Something seems off." He spoke up. "From what I've heard, if you are under someone's control, you would've gone mad immediately."

"Now that you mention it." Sarah started when Troy entered with George.

"George." Calvin greeted his British friend. "What are you doing here?"

"I was on my way to the airport and thought I'd stop by to say goodbye and check on your son." He spotted Christian. "Oh dear. That's not a good sign if you are strapped and muffled in like that."

"The blood drainer is trying to control him, so we had to take proper precautions." Calvin explained to George.

"Is that so?" George spotted something out of the corner of his eyes. "May I have a word with you in private?"

"Of course." Calvin stepped out to the hall and walked and talked to George.

"Who was that?" Jason asked Troy.

"An old acquaintance of the master's." Troy gritted out.

"And yours too." Ashley added mischievously.

"Get your mind out of the gutters." Troy hissed at her. "We were school mates. Nothing more, and nothing less."

"He seems to think you guys are buddies." Roger said with his arms crossed.

"That's because I always had to tag along with your father all the time."

"Sure." Roger muttered.

"Whatever you say." Ashley sang out.

"You brats have too much time on your hands."

"Knock. Knock." Francesca was at the doorway with flowers in her arms.

"Francesca Acari?" John sounded surprised.

"Hey girl." Ashley greeted her enthusiastically. "What are you doing here?"

"I paid the coffee shop a visit when I saw the rubble. Then the owner was there checking out the damage and told me what happened." She spotted Christian and made her way over to him. "You poor little bunny. What happened to you?"

"Little bunny?" Jason gritted out as Jacob and Roger chuckled.

"That's the aura I see him with." Francesca clarified.

"Mm?" Christian grumbled, and Francesca smiled.

"Vampires give off sparkly auras when they are around other supernatural beings. But when vampires hang out with other vampires, they read each other's auras as an animal based on their personalities. I saw you as an adorable red bunny." She pointed behind her. "And I saw Ashley as a red snake."

"Ick." Ashley spoke to Francesca. "Why does my aura have to be a reptile? I'm so jealous of your fox aura."

Christian furrowed his eyebrow at his siblings. "Don't look at us." Jacob told him. "The werewolf half of the family doesn't give off vampire auras. And neither do we see vampiric auras."

Christian squinted his eyes at Sarah and John in the hopes of seeing what animal aura they carry. "Don't strain yourself." John spoke. "It'll come to you naturally once you tune into your supernatural instincts better." Christian sagged earning a giggle from Francesca.

"Anyways, why is he tied down like that?" That's when Christian hissed in pain as his bite marks began to glow crimson again.

Jason stood and ran to Christian's side. "Don't give in." He told him. "Don't let that bastard get into your head."

"A blood drainer is trying to control him." Sarah mumbled to Francesca.

"Oh my gosh."

All of a sudden, the shadow in the corners merged and surrounded Jason and Christian before engulfing them.

"Guys!" Jacob shouted.

George and Calvin rushed in where George waved his hand to pull the shadow out when it disappeared with Jason and Christian.

"Damn!" George cursed as the others frantically searched for any sign of the two.
