The fair for Sean's pack sits on a field covered in patches of grass and dirt. There are food booths, game booths, activities for children, and striped tents where adults can converse with each other, lounge and drink, and play card games.
"Christian. I see you made it with everyone." Sean greeted him as his siblings and a sulking Jason exited the van.
"With all that's happened, they insisted on tagging along. I hope you don't mind." Christian said to him.
"Not at all. The more the merrier." he greeted everyone and did a few fists bumps with Jacob and Roger before escorting them around. Members of the pack are watching the newcomers as they walk past them.
"Sean?" an elderly woman with long gray hair approached the group. "May I ask what's going on?"
Sean smiled wide at her. "Don't worry granny. They are friends I invited. I believe you remember Bryan's wife's family."
She observed them intently. "How could I forget that gaudy red hair. Although, those blonde strands burn my eyes just as bad. And you three vampires could've dressed more appropriately." She referred to John, Ashley, and Sarah.
"Rude." Ashley mumbled and Sarah shushed her.
"Now granny." Sean spoke to her. "They may not be full blooded werewolves and don't look the same as us, but are dear friends and guests of mine. And I promise nothing will happen."
Sean's granny didn't deter her gaze from the newcomers. "Very well." she finally said. "But you'll take full responsibility for them."
"Understood." Sean spoke before she turned around to join a group of elderly werewolves underneath a near-by tent.
"When Jessie mentioned your granny being a demon, she wasn't exaggerating." Jacob stated.
Christian's eyes widened. "Jessie met her before?"
Sean smiled sheepishly. "When Bryan asked for her hand in marriage, they needed to get my granny's blessing in order to allow him to live outside our territory. At first she was hesitant, but after speaking to your grandfather she finally gave in."
Roger snorted. "No offense to your granny since she runs this joint, but I heard our grandfather threatened war with your pack, so she had to accept our sister and Bryan's union."
"Your grandma is the leader of the pack?" Christian asked dumbfounded.
Sean chuckled. "Three centuries running." he answered proudly. "Now, enough about my granny, and let's have some fun, shall we?"
He ruffled Christian's hair making onlookers murmur among themselves as they continue to watch. Christian expected Jason to say something or tug at him, but he just quietly stared at him with a frown on his face.
As Christian walked around, he noticed everyone but them had either black or brown hair. And are receiving dirty looks from everyone. "Remind me how Jessie met Bryan." he mumbled to Sarah.
"They met at a meeting the packs have every fifty years and hit it off quite well. Why do you ask?"
"Because everyone is acting like assholes. Bryan and Sean are miracles." Roger answered for her.
"Not all of them are acting hostile towards us." Sarah defended the wolves.
"Oh please." Roger hissed out. "They're looking at us like we're abominations. And in case you haven't noticed, we're the only ones with different colored hair. Jason would fit in better if he wasn't so pale."
They arrived at the gaming booths where the first one is where you try fishing with your bare hands in a handmade canal with water rushing down as if it were a miniature stream.
