------------------------------------

The Sturniolo's Christmas was going to be perfect this year; they were going to have all their friends and family over, open presents, eat some delicious food, sit around and just talk for a while. Be a family. But one person had to ruin everything.
One of Matt's friends, we'll call him Jay, wasn't invited at first. Because Jay was a drinker, he drank at every party no matter if it was a 'No Drinking' party, like the one that the triplets were currently throwing. The triplets did not drink, they were sober, but peer pressure is a son of a bitch. It makes people feel so bad that they aren't 'cool' when in reality, being cool matters not when it comes to putting yourself and your family in danger. Nevermind that, we'll see what happens later. Let's talk more about Jay, you see Jay had pressured Matt into drinking plenty of times. Did Matt tell anyone ever? No, it would ruin his reputation, he was supposed to stay sober and online he was sober, but his friend had different ideas when it came to Matt's sobriety. So when Jay kept asking, and asking to be invited to their Christmas party, Matt reluctantly agreed. This is where their fun, lighthearted, Christmas party became chaotic, dangerous, and inevitably lead to death.
-------------
As Matt sits outside in a lawn chair, watching Nick and Chris play a silly game called 'Water Pong' he gets a string of text messages from his friend Jay.

'hey man can i pls come over'
'i wont bring no drink'
'come on matty you know im alone rn'
'pleaseee matt?'
Matt stares down at his phone and sighs, with a slight shake of his head. He scrolls up and sees the many other messages from his presumed friend, asking him if he can be invited and that he won't bring alcohol, blah blah blah, Matt thought. He let himself think about his decision before replying.
'I guess man, but don't bring any alcohol dude I'm telling you Nick will rip you to pieces'
With that, he sent his message and waited for Jay's beat up, red pickup truck to pull into the driveway, with the all too familiar sound of blaring rap music.
"Hey Matt! What'cha doin' over here man?" A familiar voice, Chris's voice rang through Matt's ears. He lifts his head up from his phone and took a deep dreath, "eh- Just.. waiting for Jay" he mumbled, picking at his nails and avoiding his brothers gaze. "Oh come on, you invited Jay?" Chris complained. Matt sighed, "dude, he wouldn't stop bothering me, and come on he's not that bad!" He defended his friend right now, knowing he'd regret it, not knowing how much he'd regret it.

Not even 15 minutes later, the familiar sound of loud, annoying, rap music began floating into Matt's ears. Matt raises his head and stands, watching as Chris stopped picking at the brick wall that Matt sat in front of. Chris sighs, but knowing Matt would want him to, he reluctantly begins walking over to where Jay's car was, cringing at the horrible music that exited his trucks speakers. Finally, Jay turns the car off and steps out of the car, quickly shutting his door and looking at Chris. "What's up, man" Chris mumbled, raising his hand up for a dap, Jay surprisingly reciprocated the gesture and quickly dapped the shorter man up with a small grin.
His grin grew, when he noticed Chris's doppelganger inch closer and closer to them. "Hey, Matty!" Jay chuckled holding his hand out, Matt took it and was pulled into a hug, both their hands clasped between one another. Matt tenses slightly, catching Chris's attention, but he said nothing, watching as Matt broke out of the hug and sent Jay a smile. The three of them stood there awkwardly for a moment, before Matt broke the silence, "so, uh- Chris you know Jay, right?" He asks, looking over at his brother for confirmation, Chris smiled softly. "Yeah, Matt! We met at the bowling alley, remember?" He asked, nudging Matt with his elbow playfully, Matt chuckled and lightly shoved Chris back.
The two of them then looked up at Jay, who had his arms crossed and was staring at Chris. "Yeah..Chris, can I talk to Matt alone?" He asked flatly. Chris eyed the taller man, but eventually nodded, "yeah," he looks over at Matt and grabs his hand, Matt immediately knows what to do, without even looking at Chris, they do their handshake, with flawless precision. "Love you man, don't be gone too long though" Chris mumbles, before heading off to the house. Matt nodded, "I won't Chris, we'll be in soon" He called out, looking back over at Jay with an unimpressed expression. Jay watched as Chris went into the house, then finally, he walks over to his truck and reaches into the window, pulling out a black water botle with a grin. Matt's eyes widened, knowing what was inside that bottle. "Jay! What the hell are you thinking? Why did you bring that!" Matt scolded, Jay only chuckled and brought the bottle closer.
"Relax dude, it's just jagermeister-- it's nothing!" He exclaimed with a grin. Matt shook his head and sighed, "I told you not to bring that shit.." Matt spat, Jay rolled his eyes, then he paused for a moment. Something began to twist in his mind, a thought perhaps, a twisted thought. The same thought that would lead to twisted behavior, and a tragic fate.
Matt seemed to notice this, his brows furrowing in immense confusion, and worry.
"Jay- what are you tryna think about.. if it's me drinking, you can kiss it goodbye and never come back to the thought, cause there is no way-" Jay cuts Matt off once again.
"Wait! Come on Matt, you need to relax for once, you're so uptight!" Jay coerced, holding up the black water bottle. Matt felt his throat get dryer, knowing that there wasn't even a drop of water in that bottle. Knowing that the bottle was used to conceal an evil liquid, the same liquid that eventually will take away those closest to him. Matt felt his pulse quicken, glancing up at the tall blonde man in front of him, contemplating whether or not to give in. He didn't want to drink, sure, but he also seemed to enjoy the feeling that alcohol gave him. It made him calmer, more at peace. Though, it also made him reckless and unable to pay any attention to important things. "Jay..I dunno' man, I--.." Matt cuts himself off with a sigh. Jay grins maniacally, "Come on Matt, don't be such a pussy!" He exclaimed, shoving the forbidden bottle into his chest roughly.
