Ji Hu stopped at a red light. She was still reeling from that date that Madam Ju set her up on. It was literally the date from hell, and all Ji Hu could think about was how much of a huge jerk Gu Won was. Ji Hu turned her head, seeing the video billboard of Mirae Group. Ji Hu's fingers tapped the steering wheel. "Shit." She hoped that Gu Won wasn't a future investor or a close, personal friend to someone Madam Ju knew. She didn't want to accidentally ruin a proposal, or a job offer for someone looking to get close to the Mirae Group.

The Mirae Group was one of the top ten companies in the country. But the power struggles were something else. Between the five of them, the internal power was something that only the family would know about, unless your names are Ms. Shin, Seong Min, and Ju Seok Hoon.

The Mirae Kingdom was established by the Almighty Ju, Chairwoman Ju Cheon Suk. Unless you were family to her, you called her Madam Ju (or in the case of Ji Hu, she called Madam Ju that in public but in private, she was eomma).

As for the children of Madam Ju, there were biologically two: Seok Min and Su Ahn. Seok Min was the eldest, always being overshadowed by his own mother. He was CEO of Mirae Electronics. He also had a wife, Kim Se Ra and a son, Do Kyung. Ji Hu wasn't close with anyone in her family outside of Madam Ju, the only reason she knew her nephews was because she was forced to. Especially Do Kyung, they were close in age.

Then there was Su Ahn. She married some rich professor or something, Ji Hu wasn't invited to the wedding to find out who the poor bastard was. It didn't matter anyway; Su Ahn was a cheating bitch. But Ji Hu did like her twin nephews Austin and Justin, they were fun to provoke and piss off Su Ahn when she was stressed to the max.

Ji Hu was next – the poor girl was labeled the affair child from the moment she was made known. However, Madam Ju decided to be kind to the girl, knowing her late husband was a cheating bastard (runs in the family, apparently). Ji Hu was just the result of that affair; she was innocent unlike the two parties involved. Ji Hu wasn't sure if Madam Ju just felt sorry for her in the beginning or if she thought she had a third chance of raising someone to take over the Mirae Kingdom.

Ju Seok Hoon was next in the family tree, he was Madam Ju's nephew. He was best friends with both Do Hee and Ji Hu. However, Madam Ju never saw him as her nephew, she only ever saw him as a business partner. He was one of the last Ju names left in the company, outside of Madam Ju herself. Seok Hoon was a prosecutor, part of the lawyer department of the Mirae Kingdom.

And finally, Do Do Hee. Technically, she wasn't related to anyone in the family. One day, Madam Ju just brought her home and raised her like Ji Hu. It was never discussed why Do Hee became a member of the family, but Madam Ju took her under her wing, and now she was CEO of Mirae F&B.

LOVE THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU. TRUST LEADS TO HAPPINESS.

Ji Hu scoffed at those words – if people only knew what lions were within the Mirae Group. All of them knew how to pretend to be happy in front of others, but behind closed doors, even Ji Hu was hell to deal with.

Madam Ju taught them all so well.

Ji Hu started to drive once again, getting away from the billboard.

The war between the siblings was one thing, but no one knew who'd become the new chairman once Madam Ju did pass away. She wasn't a spring chicken, she was 71 with several medical issues, including her knee injury. The war would end with Madam Ju's choosing, but another war would begin the moment one of the four were crowned the new chair. Ji Hu wondered several times over who Madam Ju would choose.
