"Jeong Gu Won." Ji Hu whispered. She opened her eyes, looking at the tattoo. She lowered her arms to the table, tracing her fingers against the cross. As Ji Hu touched the tattoo, she suddenly got a sinking feeling. "Gu Won." Ji Hu looked to the door when the detective came through the door. Her heart hurt – she didn't know why. She placed her hand by her heart, taking deep breaths. She didn't know what was wrong.
Detective Park sat across from Ji Hu. "I know that you're not the culprit better than anyone, Mrs. Noh." Ji Hu nodded, at least someone else did. "But the higher-ups were pressuring me." He whispered, placing his hand near his mouth to make sure the others on the other side of that screen saw and the mic didn't pick up what he said.
"It's okay, Detective Park. You are doing your joke, somebody accused me, you had no choice." Ji Hu understood that. "When will I be released?" she asked, grabbing the front of her shirt.
"You can leave once the warrant is reviewed. It'll be dismissed since there's no evidence." Detective Park said.
"Detective Park," Ji Hu looked at the other detective.
"What is it?"
"It's..." Ji Hu turned. "Mr. Jeong's been stabbed." Ji Hu jumped up from the chair, eyes widening and the tears filling them instantly. "They're rushing him to the hospital now for emergency surgery." Ji Hu's hands went over her mouth to keep herself from screaming.
Detective Park got up quickly when Ji Hu did. He thanked the other detective. "You have to let me go!" Ji Hu shouted. "He's been stabbed! You have to let me leave! He's dying as we speak!" Ji Hu cried out. "Please!"
Seok Hoon entered the room once he found out. "Seok Hoon. I have to get out of here! Please, you have to do something! I have to see Jeong Gu Won! Right now!" Ji Hu was hysterical, something that Seok Hoon had never seen before from her. Ji Hu fell back into the chair, pressing her head into her hands. "I have to see him!" Ji Hu was the only one who could save him, she needed to get out of that police station to save him.
Seong Min was driving as quickly as he could to the hospital with Ji Hu in the passenger seat. She was still crying, touching the tattoo. "Hang in there, Gu Won. Please." She whispered. "Just a little longer." Her voice trembled.
Seong Min looked over at her, seeing her panic. He didn't see her hysterically crying like Seok Hoon did. But he didn't even see this side of Ji Hu when Madam Ju died. She was hysterical then when the EMT pulled her away from Madam Ju's body, but this... Seong Min was scared for Ji Hu.
As soon as the car pulled up to the hospital, Ji Hu was already out, leaving the door open. She ran straight in, asking for Gu Won's room. As soon as the number left the receptionist's mouth, Ji Hu was off. Seong Min couldn't even catch up to her. Ji Hu didn't care about her manners or the people around her – she just had to get to Gu Won. She didn't know what kind of condition he was in; all Ji Hu knew was that Gu Won needed her.
She yanked open the door to Gu Won's private room. Mr. Park was the first person to see her. Ji Hu saw the state of Ji Hu and the tears started right back up again.
"Hurry." Mr. Park waved her over.
"This is your fault." Ji Hu felt that punch in the stomach. "All of this happened because of you." Mr. Park grabbed Star Jin. "You killed Director Jeong! Let go!" Star Jin shouted.
"Stop it."
Ji Hu just stood there, allowing Star Jin to take her anger out on her. Ji Hu did deserve those words, even if she didn't know how that tattoo ended up on her arm. "Pull yourself together! We have to save Director Jeong first." Mr. Park snapped as Seong Min opened the door to Gu Won's room. Mr. Park grabbed Star Jin by the shoulders, pulling her out of the room to leave Ji Hu with Gu Won. Seong Min stepped aside, letting Mr. Park and Star Jin out of the room.
