Everyone noticed the difference in Ji Hu.

All she did was sleep, eat, and model. Ji Hu had a serious look on her face ever since Gu Won left. Seong Min told the office that Ji Hu was just going through a lot. He didn't know where Gu Won had gone, all he knew was that he wasn't coming to the office anymore. Ji Hu didn't say why – he assumed they were taking a break, or maybe Gu Won just decided to stay at the theater instead to give Ji Hu space.

"I'm fine, Do Hee."

"Bullshit." Do Hee commented. "You seemed depressed, unnie."

"I'm fine." Ji Hu said as she walked through the prosecutor's office. "I'm telling the truth."

"Where's Gu Won?"

Ji Hu fell silent for a moment. "I am currently heading to the prosecutor's office."

Do Hee sighed. "Unnie, tell me what's wrong. You're worrying us. Seong Min's been keeping us up to date in a group chat-"

"Everything's fine, Do Hee, I'm serious." Ji Hu looked around. "I'll call you after the meeting."

"I'm always here for you, Ji Hu. Let me know when you need wine and ice cream. We can do a girls' night at my apartment, Sa Rang can come too." Do Hee suggested.

"I'll let you know when my schedule isn't packed." Do Hee knew that tone and those words. Ji Hu was throwing herself into a dangerous territory. Ji Hu hung up on Do Hee as soon as she entered the office of the chief prosecutor. She was led to the office, waiting patiently for her chance to speak to him. As Ji Hu entered, she stopped short barely past the doorway. "Oh, fuck me." she muttered under her breath. Ji Hu took a deep breath. "Hello."

Woo Sun turned upon hearing Ji Hu's voice. "Ms. Noh." Ji Hu couldn't believe she didn't check to see who the chief prosecutor was before booking the appointment. "Good to see you again. I'll do my best as my name suggests." Ji Hu really hoped he'd lost that tagline, but... sure.

Ji Hu inhaled deeply.

"I'm sure you remember me."

"Sure do." Ji Hu said awkwardly. "Um, I didn't know you were the prosecutor in charge of my case."

"I know," she could hear the sarcasm. "What an interesting turn of events. Please have a seat." Yeah, Woo Sun was still bitter about being stood up when Ji Hu asked him to marry her. Ji Hu sucked it up and walked over to the chair. As she sat down, so did Woo Sun. And when she crossed her legs, he did the same. Ji Hu felt a little nervous now. "It's already been a week since the suspect, Noh Seok Min, jumped into the Han River." Woo Sun stated.

Ji Hu sighed. "His body hasn't turned up yet?"

"No."

Ji Hu rubbed the back of her neck. "Okay, so, um, the investigation will close when the body is found, correct?" Ji Hu asked.

"When the suspect dies, the case is usually closed since there's no one to prosecute anymore." Ji Hu nodded. "I heard that you asked for a transparent investigation." Woo Sun said.

Ji Hu chewed at her bottom lip. "Well, there are still some questions regarding Chairwoman Ju's death." Woo Sun nodded. "Since Seok Min can no longer confess, I want the investigation to uncover the truth."

Ji Hu flinched when Woo Sun smacked the arms of his chair. "That's why you need..." Ji Hu leaned back as Woo Sun showed off his badge, "a competent prosecutor like me." Woo Sun noticed Ji Hu's discomfort. "I'm determined to shed light on the atrocities committed by Noh Seok Min and make sure such things never happen again in this country." Ji Hu regretted her decision as soon as Woo Sun stood up. "I promise to get to the bottom of this, no matter what." He stated.
