Cheryl's hand was on her chin as she listened to the old teacher explain how to write a better essay, maybe Steve should be taking notes. "pss" She felt a shoe hit her ankle, Cheryl look to see who it was, it was Steve glancing back and forth at the teacher, making sure she doesn't see him  talking.

"What?" Cheryl quietly asked, she put her yellow pencil on the desk near her half written essay about cheer-leading "I'm bored" Steve complained "Yeah same" She looked back at the teacher, the teacher held up paper with steps to make an essay.

"want to talk instead?" Steve asked her, Cheryl looked back at him "I think you should be taking notes." Cheryl suggested, he needed to get better grades, an F won't get him anywhere in the future. "I think i'm good." The school bell rang throughout the school, everyone got up from their black chairs and ran into the hallway.

"Hey, Tina wants to see you." A teenage girl with straight black hair told Cheryl, so she walked towards Tina who had orange papers in her hands "someone said you wanted to see me?" Tina's attention went to Cheryl's "oh yes, I wanted to give you this" Tina gave her the orange paper, it was an invite to her Halloween party taking place at her home "You can bring your blonde friend too." Tina smiled widely "I'll go, you can count on me" Cheryl winked at Tina.

"Are you going?" Cheryl asked Steve, he put on sunglasses "You know it" He pushed the sunglasses up his nose "You do realize that doesn't make you look cool, right?" Cheryl looked at Steve with a small smile forming "It does make me look cool." he ran his hand through his dark hair. "shh" Steve ran up to Nancy's locker and kissed her in front of Cheryl and Jonathan, he looked uncomfortable.

Cheryl took a deep breath and walked past the couple, accidentally hitting Jonathan's shoulder "sorry." She apologized without looking up, her eyes stayed on the floor tiles.  "yeah." Jonathan quietly said back.

Cheryl's grip made the orange paper crumble at the end from her being extremely jealous "woah now, you look like you're angry" Allison went to her right side "Because I am" Cheryl replied, her grip on the paper loosen when she and Allison walked together in sync "why are you?" Allison took out her blue scrunchie out of her hair  "Also I stole this from you last night" Allison admitted when she put the scrunchie on her wrist, with her other bracelets.  "I should steal your stuff" Cheryl told her best friend "maybe you should... a lot of my clothes are ugly. You should see what my uncles get me for my birthday." Cheryl let out a laugh

"Do you have any plans for tonight?" Allison asked the girl when the finally made it out of the school "yeah, take my sister to the arcade then finish my essay" Allison sighed loudly "I just started my introduction and god its awful" Cheryl chuckled at her friend "I sure you'll do great on it" That gave Allison a boost of confidence.

"what's your essay about?" Allison asked the blonde "me and my great cheerleading skills" She moved her hair off of her shoulders since it was getting in the way "You are great at it, very flexible. Maybe you can use that for great use" Allison winked her eye "Shut up" Cheryl took out her key from her bag and put it in the keyhole "Are you going to Tina's Halloween party?" She asked Allison while she unlocked her car door "yes, free drinks and food are calling my name." Cheryl opened the car door "don't forget, you're Velma and i'm Daphne."

They both decided to go as matching scooby doo characters since they always watched it when they were younger, Daphne being Cheryl's all time favorite "Got it"  They both said their goodbyes.

Cheryl drove to the middle school, Penny was waiting outside by herself with her book in her hands "Penny!" She shouted, Penny came running inside the car. "How was school?" Cheryl asked her sister "great! Today there was a new student" Penny slammed the door shut and buckled her seat belt in "Oh yeah? What's their name?"  Penny put her book on her lap so she doesn't hold it the whole time "Maxine, but she likes to go by Max. She's really pretty... but she doesn't like us." Penny scratched the back of her neck "Why?"
