lizzies pov

i made y/n some dinner which she was slowly eating on the floor. now her hair was dryer she asked if i could do her hair and i agreed knowing she always appreciated it. 

"y/n theres also something i have to tell you" i started but there was another loud knocking at the door. sighing i stood up and answered it. the pine girl stood there drenched in rain as a blond stood beside her. i guess i wasnt amazing at hiding my expression towards the girl as she went a little pale. she didnt speak until the blond nudged her. 

"i need to talk to y/n" she asked desperately. "please, i have to explain" she passed me y/ns things and i left them at the door and walked back to the lounge room to find the girl. 

"dahlias here, she wants to explain everything" i explained brushing a piece of hair behind her ear. y/n shook her head with tears in her eyes taking the last bites of her dinner. "okay honey" 

i walked back to the pair and they both realized y/n wasnt beside me. dahlia had tears in her eyes and i just shook my head. "she'll talk to you soon" i said knowing y/n. as they started to go the blond stayed back. 

"its not her fault, physco ex drugged her" she explained before running off causing me to have even more questions. when i got back to y/n she had a nervous look in her eyes. 

"what were you going to tell me" she asked nervously. 

"let me just start by saying im sorry i didnt tell you when i found out. i only got told like 2 days ago and i didnt know how to tell you and now dahlia happened so its making me want to tell you less-" "lizzie please just tell me" she begged scared. 

"im not allowed to adopt you" 

she didnt say anything, im pretty sure she stopped breathing. 

"sweetheart? please say something" i cried tears of my own. 

"no" was all she said "no please mum i need you, i cant do this without you" i honestly expected her to be mad at me. 

"im so sorry sweetheart" i held her as she crawled into my arms. "i tried everything i could, they just wont let me" 

"why?, maybe i can talk to them tell them tha-" i cut of her rambling as i know it will just hurt more. 

"they say because of my acting i will be away for long periods of time as will you for your own career, and my income isnt stable. they want you to have a family who can always be there to support you" 

"thats ridiculous, youve been there for me since i met you, i owe you my life at this point and i need you to keep going. mama i need you please" she was choaking and sobbing on her own tears as i tried to settle the teen. 

"ive already applied to try again, ill stop acting if i have to; get some boring retail job for the rest of my life. as long as you stay with me" 

y/n pov

thats it i have no fucking point in living anymore. my girlfriend cheats on me my mum isnt even allowed to be my mum. i see no point. 

that night and the next day after i clung to lizzie knowing as soon as i step of that plane in LA i have to go home with some random ass couple. 

they run a group home and unfortunately know everything about me. well everything the police know. and they agreed to the responsibility of taking me too interviews and stuff which honestly makes me feel worse as they are all over the place. they seemed nice but there're not lizzie. 

the wifes name was lucy and the husband dylan. i had to facetime them this morning and i just dont want to live with strangers. im beyond scared. in a meer lot of hours i am living with them. 

why cant i get a say in any of this.

it felt weird not saying bye to dahlia in person. she messaged me and i messaged back saying we can talk soon, since theres just too many new things happening right now. she said she understands and she will wait for me. 

"you ready baby" lizzie asked me coming into my room where i was laying on the floor. 

"no" i said turning my head to her, she smiled sadly i gave her a weak smile back as she helped me up. 

"its going to all work out"
