It was only when the dark leaves of the forest covered her figure did she stop running. She slowed to a stop, standing for a moment before turning around to face the red and blue lights of the police cars. She wiped blood from her lips and spit out the finger lying on her tongue to the ground.

Idiot cops. They don't know they're worth. They want to keep her from him? Fine, she wouldn't mind a challenge.

She walked deeper into woods, following the dark path illuminated by the moonlight.

"I'll be back, my love. I'll be back to finally make you mine."  She kissed a pocket photo of her one
And true love; her soulmate. "Sometimes," she whispered against the film, "sometimes soulmates don't want to accept their true lover, but that's okay. He'll see my determination and finally realize I was meant to be his all along, and he was meant to be mine! I hope he's seen the news.." She smiled wickedly, baring her teeth to the night sky.

"Count your days, Espresso. I'll be back soon, don't you worry."
