"Here we are," Catherine said as the light flickered on, revealing a tiny but charming bedroom full of different colors and patterns.

The bed was small and covered in a patchwork blanket, mirroring the different colored pillows that sat on the bed. There were a few boxes with various items spilling out, a lot of them containing more and more blankets.

The walls were lined with more photos of their family and faces she didn't know, with a notable amount of ones of young Cedric. A small giraffe lamp lit up the room as it sat on the bedside table, staring at Willow like a stranger.

"It's a mess and it's not much, I know." Catherine smiled as she moved into the room, straightening the blanket on the bed. "We've been using it for storage the past few years."

"It's perfect, thank you," Willow spoke quickly, giving her the biggest smile she could push out, but she meant it. In every corner she turned, there were more parts of Cedric she wanted to learn about. How could she ask for more?

"I know our home is small but it's a home. I've spent years creating a reflection of our little family. Thank you for being so kind to it." Catherine sat on the bed, gesturing for Willow to sit beside her.

Willow was nervous, of course, being in this room with Cedric's mother, but she still felt safe. She was worried about saying the wrong thing but she knew Catherine was more than just her boyfriend's mother at this point.

"It's something I'll never forget, I'm in love with this place. Thank you for having me." Willow sat beside her, continuing to look around and finding something new every moment.

This was everything compared to the place she lived. It was full of love, specifics, and details that held more than just another decoration. Not that her mother didn't make their home beautiful, but this place had more meaning behind it.

"You are more than welcome anytime, darling." Catherine grabbed her hand, allowing her to feel the warmth of it, and holding it close. "With or without Cedric in attendance. Whenever you need somewhere to stay, come to me."

Willow felt her cheeks begin to pink as they smiled at one another, knowing this could be something both of them needed. Catherine needed a daughter and Willow needed someone to rely on outside her mother.

"I think it's best if we discuss what you came for tomorrow, you two had a long day and need to rest." Catherine gave her hand a light squeeze before getting up from the bed, smiling as she left the room.

Willow let out a loud sigh, allowing herself to fall deeper into the bed. She was here, in Cedric's house, sitting on a bed and falling in love with his family. If you had told her this at the beginning of the year, she would've sent you to the hospital wing to evaluate your mental state.
