Cedric Diggory never expected his life to turn out this way, especially at this age, but it did. Although he never expected himself to fall in love with a Malfoy, an extremely powerful family with influence and wealth, he did.

He knew he wouldn't go back and change it if he could, even with the obstacles and her terrible father now breathing down his neck. Matter of fact, he'd do it all again.

Cedric was now living in a small amount of fear, looking behind him at every corner and jumping at any sound in a quiet room as he waited for her father to appear.

Mr. Malfoy will never approve of him because of his status and his house, things out of his control. As he thought about the situation as he fell asleep, he truly began to understand why Willow never wanted Draco to turn out that way. She'd lose him if he did.

Maybe one day after Hogwarts this would all be over. They could live a happy life and she wouldn't have to speak to her father, they could exist happily once they got through this.

He hopes.

The one thing he did know for certain was he needed to be there for Willow right now. He couldn't even begin to think of the things going on in her mind, he could be her distraction.

That afternoon Cedric dropped a piece of parchment paper near where she was sitting, he tried to be nonchalant as he walked away without flinching, but he couldn't help but smile to himself.

He wasn't sure if she opened it or not, but he waited patiently with a small box of chocolates outside in the dark. He began to grow anxious as the time ticked on, wondering if she had even seen it.

As he was about to give up, he heard dead leaves rustle from behind him, making him jump out of his skin.

"Sorry! It's just me!" Willow whispered, smiling hard as she reached towards him. "Sneaking out was a pain, I was sure someone was following me."

Cedric turned towards the girl, smiling just as brightly, allowing the worry to melt away into the palm of her hands.

He loved when her hair was slightly messy and she wore jackets too big for her. She somehow looked prettier every time he saw her.

"I don't see anyone behind you, I think we're in the clear." He laughed, pretending to look behind her. They stood in silence for a few seconds, admiring one another under the dim moonlight, wondering how they'd reached this point.

"Here," Cedric reached out and handed her the chocolate. She opened her mouth to thank him but he spoke before she did. "Come with me."
