No home to call my own
No finding someone new
No one to break the fall
No one to see me through
This Means War ~ Avenged SevenfoldRight, I grabbed my bag, I was just waiting for Blake and Rosie to pick me up, hopefully they wouldn't be late.
I switched everything off when I heard a beep beep out the front.
I had just about reached the front door when I heard it.
"PEYYYYYYTONNNNN."
That was it, he was dead, I was going to bust his balls.
I slammed the front door and as I headed towards the car I noticed Rosie belting Blake with her purse.
Bless her, I thought climbing in the back.
"I cannot believe he did that." Rosie said, turning to me.
"Oh it seems he's made a habit of screaming at me." I told her, dropping him in the shit.
Blake glared at me through the rear vision mirror, I smiled and shrugged.
"He'd better not be."
"He has." I said clipping up my seat belt.
"Stress ladies." Blake said. "I'm under stress."
"Well." Rosie said. "You have nobody to blame but yourself."
"Yep." I agreed, smirking.
"Ugh, stop picking on me." He groaned, pulling away from my house.
"No." Rosie said. "Anyway how do you think tonight will go?"
"They're ready." Blake said. "And when I spoke to Matt this morning they seemed excited to be back at it."
I frowned, I couldn't imagine Matt being excited about anything.
"Is everything set up for the party?" I asked.
"Hopefully, they were still setting up when we left." Rosie told me. "You don't actually think we'd do it ourselves." She laughed.
That was true.
We made small talk until we reached the venue and I knew we were near because of the crowds of people.
"Yay for VIP." Rosie said as we were waved through the gate.
"Did you see the crowd?" Blake asked excitedly as we walked in.
I nodded, looking around. We were back stage and it was pretty busy.
"Hey." Sam called out, waving to us.
Thank god, somebody else I recognized.
"Hi." I said walking over and joining him.
"Where the fuck is Elliot?" Blake demanded, and I was glad to see Rosie smack his arm.
"How would I know Blake." Sam told him.
I looked around nervously, feeling so out of place. There were important looking people running around and girls, alot of them.
"Hey." Someone whispered in my ear.
I turned around to see Brian standing there smiling.
"Hey you." I said. "How are you feeling?"
"Great, absolutely pumped, I can't wait to get out there."
"I bet."
"I assume you'll be at the party." He asked.
"I wouldn't dare not be there."
He laughed, he knew what I meant. "That's true."
"Are the other's excited?" I asked him.
"Yeah." He said sighing. "It's been a long time between shows."
He looked a little sad and I felt bad for him, I mean they'd all been affected by this tragedy, and once again here they were proving how resilient they were.
So much loss, so much grief, I thought, shaking my head.
"Well make sure you have fun." I told him.
"Oh I will." He grinned.
I smiled back, he really was a nice guy.
"Brian, come here a second." Matt called, suddenly appearing from nowhere. "Oh hi Peyton."
Jesus, he'd smiled at me, and good god, he actually knew my name.
"Oh hi." I said, plastering on a smile.
I could honestly say I really didn't know what I thought of Matt.
