Let's take a moment and break the ice
So my intentions are known
See I have pity in watching you suffer
I know the feeling of being damned alone
I've got a storybook of my own
Shepherd Of Fire ~ Avenged SevenfoldRosie's POV
"Is Peyton back yet?" Blake asked me, bursting through the door.
I looked up from my nails, I was currently painting them "Nope."
"Well fuck, she's been gone for ages."
I glanced at the clock, she had been gone awhile. "Maybe she went to Matt's." I suggested.
"Matt's?" He asked me. "What would she go there for?"
He was so fucking dumb I could only shake my head at him.
I opened my mouth to reply but the phone interrupted me.
I looked at it.
"Can you answer that?" Blake asked me.
"Nope." I said shaking my head. "I don't work here."
"Jesus Christ Rosie." He snapped, digging into his pocket. "Here I'll give you fifty bucks if you answer it."
I looked at him, then at the fifty dollars. Silly Blake, I was going to answer it anyway but now, he'd lost fifty bucks.
"Southend Studio Rosie speaking."
"Um yes can I speak to Blake please?" A woman asked.
"Sorry he's busy, can I help?" I asked her.
"Hmmm yes well, I'm calling from Huntington Beach Hospital, we have a patient here and Mr Blake Rodriguez is listed as her next of kin."
I looked at Blake, waving him over. "Is it Peyton?" I asked quickly.
"Yes a Miss Peyton Lane."
"Fuck." I said shoving the phone at Blake and grabbing my purse. "Tell them I'm on my way."
"Wait what?" He asked, confused. "Hello?"
I headed for the door while the person on the phone explained to Blake what was going on and by the time I got in my car Blake was running out.
"Go babe." He told me. "I'll get rid of everyone and be straight behind you." He kissed my forehead.
I drove as quickly as I could without speeding or getting in an accident to the hospital and I hurried inside.
I was greeted by a nurse who promptly got a doctor for me.
I looked around nervously, the smell of hospitals made me sick, I was having a home birth, I'd already decided that.
Finally the doctor came, introducing himself. "We've admitted Peyton overnight, she took quiet the knock to her head, it required sutures, so we want to keep an eye on her, she has a fractured wrist, but other than that she's fine."
Finally I could breath, she was okay.
Before going up to see her I stepped outside and quickly called Blake to let him know she was okay and then as I was about to head back in I thought fuck it, and called Matt.
"Rosie." He answered, somewhat gruffly. "What can I do for you?"
"I'm not sure why I'm calling you."
"You must have a reason?" He asked.
"Ugh, this will get me in trouble but I thought you should know." I told him. "Peyton has been in accident."
I waited for his response but I got nothing.
"Matt?"
Suddenly the line went dead. What an ass.
I shoved my phone back in my bag and headed up to see Peyton, I found her resting in a room.
I looked at her, she had a horrible bruise and bump, including sutures on her forehead and her wrist had a thick dressing around it, resting on a pillow.
She opened her eye's and looked at me. "The fucking airbags didn't work."
I couldn't help but laugh as I hugged her. She'd given me a fright. "We'll sue the pricks Peyton."
She nodded, closing her eye's again. "I suppose Blakes pissed?"
"Not at all. He'll be here soon."
No sooner had I said it than he walked through the door. "Thank fuck." He announced. "I thought you were dead."
"Sorry to disappoint you." She said softly.
"Don't be stupid." He grumbled, hugging her.
She frightened us both, especially Blake, as much as they argued, he adored her.
We made ourselves comfortable, we weren't leaving her here alone. Blake was flicking through the TV channels and Peyton was attempting to sleep when a terrible noise, what sounded like an argument, started out in the corridor.
"Holy shit." Blake said, looking at the door.
The voices were getting louder, almost hysterical.
"Jesus." I said getting up and walking to the door. "This is a hospital."
Someone wasn't a happy customer but I intended to tell them to shut the fuck up.
I opened the door and was shocked by the sight that greeted me.
It was Matt.
It was Matt making all of the noise, and as I looked at him I realised something. He was on the verge of panic.
Matt was having a melt down.
