She was a fast machine she kept her motor clean
She was best damn woman that I ever seen
She had sightless eyes telling me no lies
Knocking me out with those American thighs
You Shook Me All Night Long ~ AC/DCRosie's POV
I pulled up out the front of the studio. I was bored as fuck and thought I'd come down here, annoy Blake, hang out with Peyton.
I locked my car and headed inside, the scene that greeted me was one of chaos.
"It's shit." Matt snapped.
"It's fine." Brian was telling him.
"Do it again."
"No."
"Come on guys." Blake said. "This is it, the last part, let's just lay it down."
"I will." Matt snapped. "When it's right."
"Oh hey hi." I called out.
They all turned and looked at me, except Johnny, he was asleep on one of the couches.
"What are you doing here?" Blake asked me.
"Hello to you too darling." I said sarcastically.
"Oh no." He mumbled, kissing my cheek. "How are you babe?"
"Good." I said smirking. "Not so good for you?"
He rolled his eyes and pulled me into his arms.
"Matt is being an ass." He whispered in my ear.
Imagine that, I thought to myself, the guy was just too high strung.
"Where's Peyton?" I asked. "In the office?"
"No, she called in sick." Blake grumbled.
"What?" Peyton had never called in sick, never.
"She called me this morning, said she wasn't coming."
That was strange.
"I wish she was here." Brian said. "It's shit without her."
I looked over at him, so obviously lusting after her, then I looked at Matt who was staring at his feet looking pissed.
"Hmm." I said, turning to the office. "I might call her."
"Beg her to come." Blake whined.
"I'll see what I can do."
I went into the office and closed the door, grabbing the phone.
I listened to it ring and I was about to hang up when she answered.
"Hello."
"It's me."
"Oh hi." She sounded a little down.
"What's going on Peyton, it's not like you to be off?"
"I just feel crappy." She snapped.
It was bullshit, she forgot I knew her better than anyone else, so I knew she was telling me bullshit.
"Bullshit, tell me."
"Rosie just leave it, I'll be back tomorrow."
"It had better not have been Brady."
"No it wasn't Brady." She said softly. "Don't worry about it."
"Well now I'm worrying." I told her, she sounded so down.
"Don't." She told me. "I'm fine."
"Okay." But I would still worry.
"I'll see you tomorrow." She told me, hanging up.
I walked back out of the office, thinking, worrying.
I'd met Peyton five years ago, when Blake had hired her as his personal assistant, we became friends straight away, and this, today, was the first time I'd ever heard her sound upset. Something had happened, I just didn't know what.
"Is she coming?" Brian asked me straight away.
"Calm down tiger." I told him. "She's not."
"What's wrong with her?" Matt asked, looking around everywhere except at my face.
"Not well." I told him.
He'd given himself away. He'd done something to her and I planned on finding out.
"Walk me to my car." I told him.
"What, what for?" He stuttered.
"I'm going to see her you dumb shit."
"I can't we need to get back to it."
Now he looked guilty as all hell.
"Walk me to my car." I snapped.
"Don't argue." Blake told him.
My man was well trained.
I kissed Blake quickly and walked outside with Matt following.
"What did you do?" I demanded.
He shook his head. "Nothing."
I looked at him. He was lying, lying through his teeth, but he looked upset, extremely upset.
I couldn't help but feel sorry for him, he'd been through so much.
"I hope not Matthew, I really do." I said opening my door. "Peyton is my best friend, please don't fuck with her."
He looked shocked, but shook his head. "I wouldn't, ever."
He was lying, I could tell. I'd warned Peyton to stay away from him, there was too much hurt, but I'd watched them, seen them together.
Blind Freddy could see they had some connection, and it worried me, it worried me alot.
