It's the way you love me
It's a feeling like this
It's centrifugal motion
It's perpetual bliss
It's that pivotal moment
It's ah subliminal
This kiss, this kiss
It's criminal
This kiss, this kiss
This Kiss ~ Faith Hill

"We should definitely go out next time I'm down." Brady said as we headed towards my place.
"We should."
It was Tuesday night and I'd been out to dinner and a movie with Rosie's cousin Brady. I was surprised, it had gone really well, he was a nice guy.
Unlike Matt, I thought to myself.
I still hadn't spoken to him since Sunday. Today and Yesterday I had locked myself in the office to avoid him because I was still pissed at him for saying what he did. Hopefully they were finishing up in the next couple of days and then I wouldn't have to see him again.
"I had a great time Peyton." Brady said, pulling up out the front of my house.
"Me too." I smiled.
He returned my smile and leant towards me. I didn't want a relationship but I was always up for some good sex.
I leant in towards him, encouraging him to kiss me when we were interrupted.
Tap tap tap.
I looked at my window. Matt was standing there.
Jesus, I thought rolling down my window.
"Hi, I hope I'm not interrupting?" He asked.
Yeah you fucking are, I thought.
"Not at all mate." Brady said. "Can I help?"
"Oh sorry I'm Matt." He said shoving his hand in the window. "One of Peytons friends."
"Nice to meet you." Brady said shaking his hand. "Anyway Peyton I'll call you."
"That would be great." I said opening my door.
He leant over and kissed my cheek quickly and I mouthed sorry to him. How embarrassing.
I got out, closing the door, standing there, watching Brady drive off.
"Did you have a nice time?" Matt asked.
I glanced at him then headed up the path.
"You look nice." He told me.
I snorted at him, pulling out my keys.
"Look Peyton I'm sorry."
"Sorry Matt, I have to go tweet about everything that just happened." I snapped, unlocking the door.
"Peyton." He said grabbing my arm. "I didn't mean it like that."
"Sounded like it to me."
"It's not what I meant."
"Yeah well." I said, pulling my arm out of his grip.
I stepped inside and turned around. He was right behind me.
"Look Matt." I told him. "Now is not a good time."
"Peyton."
"No."
I don't know why he thought I should just forgive him for being an ass?
"Peyton." He said again, only this time he reached out and put his arm around my waist and pulled me to him.
Before I could protest he pressed his lips softly to mine.
JESUS CHRIST, WHAT WAS HE DOING? My mind screamed, then I was ashamed to admit a different thought drifted into my head.
I liked it. It felt nice.
But this was Matt.
Widow Matt.
Wife died Matt.
I was about to put my hand on his chest to push him away when he pulled away himself.
His face said it all.
He wore a look of disgust.
"Jesus." He muttered. "I.....fuck."
I felt any self confidence I'd ever had disappear right in that moment, his disgust was so obvious.
"It's fine." I mumbled. "Just go."
He opened his mouth then closed it again, turning and walking down the path.
Fucking charming, I thought, slamming the door.
He kisses me then acts like it's the worst thing he'd ever experienced in his life.
What a prick!
But damn it felt so nice, but no.
Rosie was right, he had way too much baggage.
