"KEIRA!"
Sebastian was hot on her heels when the little witch wiggled free of his arms and ran to where the dragons were circling his caravan.
"Keira, you need to be reasonable about getting yourself into this mess!" Sebastian knew the little witch was capable of taking care of herself, but he didn't want her to. He wanted to take care of her—wanted to protect her and worship her til the end of time.
"Tell your men to use some magic or get the hell out of the way!" Keira yelled back to the satyr who was barking orders at his people as Keira spread her enchantments with fervor.
"What are you doing?!" Sebastian asked as he tried desperately to lift Keira into his arms and carry her to safety, "This is no place for you!"
Keira snarled, "I am a witch and if I or anyone I care about is being attacked then it most certainly is my place! Now let me do my magic so I can make sure these guys are harmless or not!"
An arrow came out of nowhere and hit the wing of one of the circling dragons.
"Tell your men to back off or I will back them off myself!"
Sebastian did as he was told. He wasn't used to a woman bossing him around, but he was very turned on by his little feisty weed.
His men backed off as Keira mind linked with the dragons.
"What the hell is she doing?" A guard asked Sebastian as the others ran to safety in the forest, "Getting herself killed?!"
Sebastian watched in awe as Keira was able to talk the dragons out of their mischief that evening.
As they flew away, Keira watched as the men scurried back to their carriages to check their belongings.
"Keira.." Sebastian was at her side in no time, "I.."
"You're supposed to know me, right?" Keira asked, sarcastically, "Then you know I don't back down—ever."
Sebastian helped her into the carriage as they gathered their bearings and continued on.
"When will we be there?" Keira asked, "I am hungry."
"Soon," Sebastian told her, "Shall we talk about what happened?"
"And what happened, Sebastian? You pretending to need me to cater to you or the entire desperate move you're making on me?"
"Desperate? Woman, I have you at my absolute disposal."
Keira coughed and smiled, slyly, "So you think."
"Oh, I know..."
"We shall see about that..." Keira huffed, crossing her arms over her chest, not knowing if she was getting irritated or turned on by the circles they were dancing in with each other.
It wasn't long before they entered the village of Succor, a relatively old nymph village that Keira was vaguely familiar with.
"I feel like I've been here before," Keira thought aloud. Had she? Was this deja vu? She'd been to so many places in her life that most memories seemed to run together.
However, she did have certain memories in her life that were missing—chunks here and there that were misplaced. Things were warped in her mind, even when she was a little girl. Devonia even told her there were things that even a crystal ball couldn't see, but Keira thought nothing of it—she just figured her life was normal and she simply forgot a few things.
"You have been here," Sebastian said, "When you were a little girl."
"It's nice," she said, looking around as the carriage came to a stop, "Is this your cottage? It's quite lovely."
Sebastian chuckled, "I live in a much bigger house, dandelion."
"Oh.." Keira smiled, "Well, I can stay at the cottages. I will be dropped off at the nearest available one, please."
"Tsk, tsk.." Sebastian clicked his tongue and sighed, "You're staying with me. The queen of the satyrs isn't going to be sleeping with the public."
"Not with the public...just with you?"
"In time, yes."
Keira's flesh burned with anticipation of that. She tried hard to keep herself in tact, but tatters was more like it.
"You look flushed, Keira, do you need some water?"
Keira blinked and turned to him, "What? No, I'm fine. I need some wine and food."
"Wine and food it is! We'll get you situated and then we will feast!"
"Who will feast with us?"
"Just us.." Sebastian frowned, "Unless you're having company?"
Keira frowned, "You're such a smart ass."
"Then we are meant to be!"
Kristoff was quick to escort them to the front door, along with Keira's light luggage.
"Wow.." Keira said, taking in the scene, "This is huge."
"That's not the only thing.."
"You know I've heard that line a million times, right?" Keira looked back at Sebastian who had placed a large, strong hand on her lower back, moving her through the foyer and to a parlor of the manor.
"And where will I sleep?"
"In my chambers."
Keira eyed him carefully. She was going to play his little game.
"And if I wanted to sleep naked?"
"Well, we've already seen what that leads to."
"And if I don't sleep in your bed?"
Sebastian leaned in and studied her face. He was a satyr, but he knew women and he knew them well, but he loved Keira and wanted her to be with him at all times.
"Then you'll be pining for me til dawn."
