Keira stared at Sebastian for what seemed like an eternity, her shock was evident. Was this really happening?

Heart pounding, she pushed the satyr, but he barely moved under her tiny weight.

"Do you hear me? I won't let you die! Ever!"

Sebastian smiled, "I know you won't let me die, Keira. That's why you're my mate. Mates don't just let each other die."

"Any decent person wouldn't let you die, Sebastian. That doesn't mean I'm.." Keira stopped when she noticed Sebastian was heading for the door, "Where are you going now? "

"Come with me, dandelion," Sebastian beckoned for her, "We made it to the this room, but the rest of the house calls to us and so does your history. I'm sure the questions are running rampant in that pretty head of yours. "

Keira composed herself and took Sebastian's hand as they continued on through the halls of the manor. She'd never been easily swayed by a man before—what hold did this satyr have over her?

"When can I see?"

"See what?"

"Our future."

"Soon, my love," Sebastian told her, "Don't let me go, though. Not like you have so many times before."

Keira scoffed, "In my defense, I couldn't have known about us."

"No, that's true, but you will see in a few moments what I am talking about. We're going down to the lower level."

"Sounds ominous," Keira shivered, "Don't tell me you have an altar set up in my honor."

She winked at him and Sebastian smiled, "Not yet."

"Why've you been so crude to me, though?" Keira thought allowed as it became almost second nature to walk hand in hand with the satyr.

"It turns me on, to be honest," Sebastian admitted, "I like your wiles."

"Did you like what we did in the cave? I don't know what came over me," Keira confided, "I mean..I don't typically.."

"I know. Seducing you has been my favorite thing to do," Sebastian turned to her as they stopped at one of the many rooms of the manor so Keira could peer inside, "Yes, you've been here before. In your dreams, no doubt."

Keira was hesitant to admit that. She always considered her dreams to be filled with fantasy and not reality.

"What if you're just charming me to get me into bed?"

"What if I am?"

Keira smiled up at him. He was such a large satyr, especially compared to her.

"Do you even find me attractive?"

Sebastian laughed, "What? Of course I find you attractive. Even if you weren't my mate, I would still try to bed you."

"I guess it's bound to happen," Keira said, "We've already been pretty intimate."

Sebastian felt himself grow as hard as steel at Keira's admission. She was most likely more than willing, but there was no way he'd take her without her full consent.

"Are you ready?" I asked as we headed inside.

"No, but I don't have a choice."

The two slowly entered the lower level as Keira stayed close to Sebastian.

"Nothing's going to pop out at,-"

Keira couldn't get the words out before they were gazing at ancient artifacts, clothing, pictures and furniture, mirrors and gold–gold for days.

"Sebastian... "

"Most of it came from the dragons when we fought them off. Some of it's yours, or it belongs to you now."

"To me?"

"The mirrors, the clothing.. all of it was your ancestors. We acquired it through war, battles, and other skirmishes. My family deliberately took things that would be traced back to you and our future children. I made sure of it."

"But why?"

Sebastian studied her as she walked the room, her breath hitching every time she touched something else.

"To protect you. The dragons couldn't know, the other satyrs couldn't nor could the passed king. He would have killed you."

She touched a mirror and was struck with a jolt before crumbling to the floor.

"Keira... "

"Little Keira! Look at you all grown up now. It's me.. It's Nathan.. your, -"

"Grandpa?"

A vision appeared before her, nothing else was left surrounding her save for Sebastian in the distance and her grandfather standing in front of her.

"Is.. is it really you?" Keira sobbed, "Grandpa!"

Keira rushed to where her grandfather stood, but she passed through him.

"I'm in your visions, Keira. I can't come to this Realm anymore, but you must trust the satyr. He tells the truth, I promise you."

Bending down, Keira watched as Nathan parted his hair showing where two horns had been shaved down to small nubs.

"It's in your blood, Keira."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want to hurt you.. I didn't know everything until it was too late. Trust Sebastian, young witch. Trust that he will take care of and protect you."

"But he's dying!"

Keira shook violently as she fell down to her knees, "How can I help him?! How can I save my mate?!"

Nathan began to fade, his smile still so sweet just like when he was alive.

"I love you, sweet Keira.. trust him... "

And then, he was gone.

Keira was still on her knees when Sebastian rushed to her.

"Where the hell did you go?! It's like you vanished without a trace!"

Sebastian helped her to her feet as she clung to him, her tears seeping into his shirt.

"Keira... "

"Sebastian.."

He cupped her face, bringing his eyes to gaze deep into hers.

"Dandelion.."

"I'll be yours, Sebastian. I'll be your mate. I'll give you children, but I refuse to let you die."
