Chapter 50: Summer plans

I can hardly sleep. The whole day has been extremely exciting, and Tom Riddle is actually my boyfriend now. I haven't had a chance to tell Kim yet, and I'm sure the reaction from the others will be mixed. But in the end, all that matters is what I want and what I'm happy with. When I wake up in the morning, a curious Kim is sitting by my bed looking at me expectantly
"Good morning, Kim. What time is it?"
Kim looks up from where she is sitting, and she smiles warmly at me now as she's been waiting for me to wake up to talk about this. She's been anxious to know what happened with me and Tom Riddle after we got out so late, and she's really curious to hear how it all went.
"Oh, good morning, Lucia. It's quite early, it's only around six in the morning. But I just couldn't wait to see you and hear all about your night?" She says this with an inquisitive look on her face now. I start to grin and turn to Kim. "We're together now, Tom and me. Officially, " I fix my hair a little and get up and find my things "boyfriend and girlfriend, " I say with a grin. Kim seems to be really surprised when I tell her the good news, and she can see that I look really happy and excited about this new relationship. She smiles brightly, and she doesn't know what to say at first, as she didn't expect this to happen so soon.
"No way! Seriously? Are you two officially boyfriend and girlfriend now? That's amazing... I'm glad you're both finally together now... I thought it wouldn't happen, honestly." I start laughing."Yes, but I think there's more to him that I can discover. He has a lot of secrets..." My stomach starts to grumble audibly."Shall we go to the Great Hall and have breakfast?"
"Definitely, I wouldn't mind some breakfast right now. You're right. He does have a lot of secrets, but that also makes things even more interesting."

We make our way down the hall to the dining hall now, and we sit down at the Slytherin table together now, as both of us start to chat and eat breakfast. While we're having breakfast, Tom comes into the Great Hall, walks over to me and gives me a kiss in front of everyone so that Sebastian, who is sitting just a few chairs away, looks over very jealously "Wow, what was that for?"
I whisper to him, and he leans forward and says, "I want everyone to know that you're mine." I bite my lip and look around. Then we both sit down and continue our breakfast. Tom really enjoys making things awkward for Sebastian in front of everyone else by kissing me in such a prominent place, and he also seems very thrilled about having the ability to show everyone that I'm taken by him. He smirks at my reaction, and he keeps looking over at Sebastian and the other people sitting at the table with me, knowing that he has their attention. He definitely likes the way all eyes are on us now and the way Sebastian is obviously jealous. "I didn't know you showed physical affection like that," I say teasingly and smile at him, sensing that Kim is extremely excited and happy for us. While some other students stare at us or whisper. Tom chuckles from my teasing comment as he realizes that it's completely true. He's never really showed physical affection in such a public way before, but with us, it's completely different. It feels right to do all of this. And he loves the reaction I'm giving to it, too.
"Well, maybe I'm just a little bit more affectionate with you." He says this in a teasing way, as he laughs a little and continues to eat his breakfast. Several students are still watching us very closely now. So now we are a couple.

The weeks fly by, Tom is almost like a different person. He is still rather reserved and cold to others, but to me. He's different. Open, loving...he gives me gifts, wants to see me...and I can't even begin to talk about the sex. I've also spent the night with him a few times. It's nice to wake up by his side.

June 18th
One morning, I wake up in his arms. And he's already awake too. "Good morning Tom," I say rather sleepily. Tom smiles at this moment, as he's very content to be able to wake up with me by his side. He pulls me even closer to him, and he wraps his arms around me, as his gentle and affectionate side comes out once more.
"Good morning, love." He says this softly, as he seems to enjoy just being with me in this moment. His expression is extremely fond and warm as he looks over at me now, and he wants to just enjoy as much of this time with me as he can. "Hmm.. I'm really going to miss this during the summer vacation," I say, still half asleep, as I put my arm over him. He nods at this, as we would have to wait about two months to see each other at school again. But that time would feel like forever, especially considering just how much they have grown in these last few weeks together.
"Yeah, I just don't really know what I'm going to do with myself." He says this with a chuckle as he looks over at me with a happy smile. The thought of not seeing each other for the whole summer is really quite upsetting. I raise my eyebrow. "Where are you going? I mean... you've never said anything about your family. " Tom seems to block right back. He puts my arm aside and stands up. He gets dressed without saying a word and starts to pack some things in a bag. The way he is acting seems to tell me something is definitely up. He had not said too much about his family, and now, when I ask something about his summer plans, he just completely avoids the question.
