So, I have a predicament...
I wanna keep writing, but I feel like I shouldn't until I re-edit a lot of the older chapters (again) and like change some things around, but I also know that's gonna take a while. 😩 Ugh, I'm so sorry but we're nearly 60 chapters in and basically nothing's happened because I can't figure out how to balance filler and plot.
Every time I look at older chapters, I'm like, "What does this chapter have to do with anything? Why am I giving so much attention and detail in some chapters and rushing through others? Why do certain relationships feel hollow?"
👹 It's because they're all first drafts. 👹
I was thinking about putting The New Girl on a short hiatus (I say as if it doesn't already take me forever to upload new chapters) and giving attention to some of my other fics while I edit TNG's current chapters behind the scenes. Or I could toss my perfectionist ways aside for a bit and just keep writing until the plot eventually finds itself again. 🧍
Idk let me know your thoughts because I'mmmm in turmoil. 😊
