Chapter 5: Rescue (part 1)

Isabelle ran as best and as far as she could for what felt like forever. Luckily, Sarah gave her some endurance and strength to push past this so they could keep going. She soon felt like she had ran far enough away that they wouldn't catch her and wouldn't find her.

Should I turn back? Isabelle asked.

Sarah thought for a moment before replying, yeah, you can. I think we're out of danger now. I don't think they'll find us now. We are about two miles away from that place and soon enough, I think we could find a road or something and take us back home.

Isabelle nodded in agreement. Alright then, I'm changing back. Nobody's here anyways. She took a deep breath and imagined herself as herself before she continued to run as fast as her legs would carry her but being slowed down by the baby.

Do you know when we could reach a road? Or even find one?

I think I do, Sarah replied, just give me a moment to think.

Sarah disappeared from Isabelle's head as she went off to think or do whatever she w!!as doing. She had no idea how Sarah came up with anything. It seemed like there always seemed to be some kind of map in her head and knew how to get everywhere but then again, Sarah was a wolf and could just use her senses.

Just keep going straight, Sarah suddenly told her while she was deep in thought. Isabelle almost tripped and fell from the sudden return.

Don't scare me like that! Isabelle yelled at Sarah in her head, you almost gave me a heart attack!

Sorry! Sarah replied a bit cheekily and chuckled, I just couldn't help it. I was wanting to have some fun now that we are out of that place.

Isabelle sighed, I know what you mean. I want to have some fun also but we can't just quite yet.

Well, what if we- Sarah stopped mid-sentence and yelled hide!

It was to late though. Someone grabbed Isabelle and she screamed but it was cut off by someone putting a hand over her mouth. She squirmed, trying to get away and bit down on the persons hand, causing him to yell and let go of her mouth. She screamed louder, but was cut off again as the person growled and kicked the back of her knee, causing her to fall to her knees and had her hands tied behind her back and have a gag put over her mouth.

"Did you really think you could get away so easily?" A voice whispered in her ear, causing fear to run out through her entire body because she knew who's voice that belonged to.

"How much farther is this place?" Jared asked Daniel eager to get there to see if his mate was there or not. He had a good feeling about this one, he didn't know why, but his wolf was stirring also in his head like something was about to happen. He looked over at him, waiting for an answer.

"Not to far now. About five miles at the looks of it. Want me to send Travis ahead to scout the area?" Daniel replied. Travis was the best pack tracker and Daniel had brought him along on this search along with two best pack warriors they had who's names were David and Jace. David was taller than Jace by about a few inches but that didn't mean Jace had a worse chance in a fight. He was more built than David and was pretty tall himself. They were brothers also so they had a lot of similarities. Both had blond hair and blue eyes but David's were darker than Jace's by a few shades.

Jared nodded at this, "okay, I feel like something's going to happen soon and I just don't know what. Do you think this could be the place?"

"I thin-," Daniel was cut off then just as they heard a scream.

Jared's eyes widened as he turned to Daniel, "that sounded like Isabelle's scream! Come on! We have to hurry! She's in trouble!" Before anyone could reply, Jared dashed off into the direction, stripping as he went, and turned into his huge black wolf.

Jared raced through the trees towards his mate where he heard her scream again.

I'm coming Isabelle! Jared yelled through the mate bond because he could feel it becoming stronger the closer he got to her, which he was relieved by.

He then heard a tiny voice in his mind that said, Jared?

Hehehe, so what do you think? This would have been longer but I decided to split the chapter up into a couple of parts. Their mate bond is becoming stronger and what do you think will happen next? Tell me your ideas.

I was also thinking about putting KbtA in the watty's once I edited it and changed some things in it because I know I forgot about some things in the book that I forgot to mention later like the bandages from going to the hospital and a few other things. But I don't know, should I? I think I'll keep the original version on my profile and then have a different version of the story but edited and in first person. What do you guys think? Should I do this?
