Chapter 15: Invisible

Isabelle was pushed aside after the bullet grazed the tree and Jared stood above her protectively, growling. He sniffed the air before slowly getting off of her and nudging her belly to see if she and the baby was okay.

Isabelle wondered why he was doing that and looked at him quizzically when she sniffed the air and her ears perked up upon hearing voices. She looked up to two people hiding behind a bush and a tree.

"Randy, stop," the one behind the tree said putting a hand on the gun, "that wolf must be pregnant."

So they didn't know they were werewolves, interesting. They thought they were regular wolves and they were just hunters.

Randy put his gun down and looked at the two wolves skeptically. After a moment, he put the gun down and replied, "you're right Issac. We can't kill these two wolves. The male is just protecting his mate. Come on, let's go find something else."

"And their pelts looked so beautiful," Issac said regretfully. The two hunters picked up their belongs before heading towards the boarder of the packs territory without knowing they were.

Once they were gone, Isabelle looked up at Jared and mind linked, 'why didn't you attack them? Or at least why did you act the way you did?'

'They were just hunters,' Jared answered her, 'they didn't know about werewolves. They thought we were just regular wolves and when I put my nose to your stomach, they figured out or thought that you were pregnant and left. Hunters aren't aloud to kill pregnant animals in these parts and in other places but those two also couldn't kill us because they have a conscious. They can't kill a wolf who's pregnant and their mate.'

'That makes sense,' Isabelle replied. She then was allowed up and she shook her coat out. 'Now can we get back to the pack house? I'm tired and just want to go to sleep.'

Jared chuckled, 'of course we can. You need the sleep anyways. So let's go.'

Instead of going to sleep right away, her wolf started started yipping at her as they started getting ready for bed.

Not able to take it any longer, Isabelle asked, what is it Sarah?

You need to tell Jared how we escaped, or almost escaped at least.

Isabelle had almost forgotten about that with her focusing on the baby and all the nightmares she had of that place. She forgot how she could be invisible. Why her? She didn't know, but it could come in useful at times.

You're right, Isabelle said with a sigh. She then wondered, is there anything else I can do?

With time you'll know but for now, we need to tell Jared this.

Isabelle came out of the bathroom and looked at Jared. "I have something to tell you."

"What is it?" he asked sitting up on the bed. He patted the spot beside him and Isabelle came over, taking the seat beside him.

"It's how I escaped, or almost escaped. It was right before you showed up."

Jared only nodded to show that he was listening and encouraged her to go on.

"Well, you see, I was able to do something in order for me to escape, if I wasn't able to, I could never had escaped."

"What was it?" Jared asked looking at her intensely.

"Promise you won't freak out on me?" Isabelle pleaded.

"I promise."

"Well,thereasonIwasabletoescapewasbecauseIcouldturninvisible."

"Can you say that again? But a bit more slowly?"

"The reason I was able to escape was because I could turn invisible."

"What!" Jared yelled standing up. "How is that possible!?"

"I don't know!! Sarah won't tell me! She keeps telling me to wait to find out! You promised me you wouldn't freak out!"

"I'm not freaking out," Jared said and sat down again as if to prove his point. "Sorry, but why can you?"

"I don't know, I've already said that," Isabelle repeated.

"Is there anything else you can do?"

"No, not right now. Sarah won't tell me what I can and cannot do."

Jared sighed and rubbed his forehead. "Okay, we need to figure this out, but just to make sure, can I see you turn invisible?"

"Yeah, I guess so." Isabelle stood up and concentrated on her body to become nothing like it didn't exist. Like there was only a bunch of air particles where she was at instead. Before she knew it, she was standing in front of Jared completely invisible while he just stared at her in amazement, or at least where he thought she was.

"That's cool," Jared said with a loving yet proud smile on his face. He reached out to touch her to see if she was still there and he was able to feel her. Isabelle smiled and sat down on him, straddling him the best she could with her pregnant belly.

"I can feel you, but I can't see you. This is weird and amazing all at the same time. But it's a bit nerve wracking that I can't see what you're doing."

Isabelle smiled and knew that she could have some fun with this. She wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned in, kissing him softly as his hands went to her hips on instinct and pulled her closer.

Jared kissed her back and asked for permission to enter her mouth which she gladly accepted. How weird it would be someone to walk in on them right now and they be able to see Jared kissing nothing. She giggled at the thought but was soon pulled back to the present and out of her thoughts as Jared's hand slipped under her shirt.

Her concentration broke as she turned back to being visible again as his hand traveled up to cup her right breast. She moaned and arched back, breaking the kiss and pushing herself more against him.

He kissed down her neck after she broke the kiss and she pulled him tighter to her. His hand gave her other breast equal attention before moving downwards and wrapping around her back again for she slowed it down not wanting to go much further at the moment for now the energy had drained from her.

"I love you," Jared told softly against her neck, pressing kisses to her mark.

Shivers went down her spine as she replied, "I love you too. Now, can I go to bed? I'm to tired to stay up much longer and becoming invisible drained me for I haven't done it for a long time."

"Of course love." He laid her down in bed and got up to shut the light off before coming back over and wrapping his arm around her. Before she knew it, she was fast asleep in her mates arms.
