Isabelle growled at Jared for she was in one of her moods. Especially since learning the other day that Mike was still out there and hasn't been caught. That's been the main reason for most of it. But right at this moment, it was because he was making fun of her.
"Go away! I don't want to talk to you right now!"
"I'm sorry honey! I didn't mean for you to take it the wrong way! I thought it was a good thing!"
"How can calling me fat be a good thing?"
"I'm not calling you fat at all! The baby is just so big! How can that be a bad thing?"
"By calling the baby big, you're calling me fat!"
"I am not calling you fat! Please, just open the door!"
"No!" Jared was currently locked outside the bedroom because Isabelle had pushed him out the door when he started calling her fat.
"Please? I'll make some grilled cheese for you."
Isabelle perked up at that. Grilled cheese, yum... Her favorite. She slowly advanced to the door and unlocked it. She slid it open a few inches and looked at him. "Promise?"
"Yes," Jared nodded enthusiastically, glad to finally have her out of the bedroom. "Come on. I'll go make you some right now."
Isabelle opened the door wider and stepped outside. "This doesn't change anything."
Jared didn't let that bring him down. He quickly stepped out of the way so she could walk in front of them and they made their way down to the kitchen.
After he had the grilled cheese made and she had eaten it, he looked at her, still trying to get on her good side even though she was softening up on him already, and asked, "want to go for a run?"
"Me? A run? How can I run when I'm so big and pregnant with your pup. It's all your fault."
Jared winced, that wasn't what he meant and he made her moody again. "I don't mean as a human. I mean as a wolf. Sarah must be dying to get out and run."
"Oh," Isabelle said and furrowed her eyebrows in concentration. She looked so cute when she did that. "Yeah, she wants out. But do we have to run the entire time? Because I don't think I can go that long."
"Of course, we don't have to run the entire time. Even a walk would do just fine. When was the last time that you shifted?" He didn't know because she could have when he wasn't there while he was searching for Mike and his other rouge followers.
Isabelle started thinking. When was the last time she shifted? It suddenly dawned on her and answered, "only the first time when I became a werewolf."
Jared's eyes widened and asked, "and you lasted this long without your wolf going crazy? That's like what? Three, four months? That's amazing. Most wolves can't go without a week without shifting at least once."
Isabelle shrugged, "I don't know, but she's not really scratching at me to be let out. She's fine where she's at but wouldn't mind to be let out or not."
"Well, let's go let her out then. She'll love it."
They got up and headed outside. Once they were a bit in the woods, Jared shifted and Isabelle found she could shift with ease even after all these months and only doing it once.
Jared's wolf growled protectively of her and in awe when he saw Isabelle in her wolf form. Pure white except for the half moon on her side. He went up and nudged her with his nose. She was so much smaller than him, almost half his size and she herself was bigger than most wolves.
Isabelle stuck her tongue out the side of her mouth and nipped playfully at his ear since he was bending down she could reach it. She then took off running into the woods, enjoying the feel of being out in nature and feeling the wind in her face.
Jared ran after her with a laugh, making sure to keep at least a foot in between them. But she was fast, even if she was pregnant, and he could still tell that she was even if it wasn't by much. He just wondered how fast she would be when the baby was out.
Finally, after she began to tire, he jumped in front of her and she ran right into his chest. Isabelle let out a yelp of surprise and shook her head. She put a paw on her nose because it hurt with how hard she ran into Jared. Jared laughed a wolf laugh and Isabelle glad back at him, clearly not thinking it was funny.
Stop laughing at me!
I'm not laughing at you, you just look so cute right now. He licked her nose, helping her make it feel better. He then started licking her head too.
Isabelle purred like a cat but in a wolf way, forgetting that she was mad at him and laid down. Jared laid beside her and continued to lick her head. She closed her eyes, being soothed under him and all thoughts dispersed as she let Jared do this.
Jared stopped sometime later and laid his head on her back.
I love you, Jared sent through mind link.
I love you too, Isabelle replied with a small smile.
It was becoming dark and Jared looked up at the sky. It's time to start heading home.
Sarah wined to Jared but agreed for she wanted Isabelle safe and inside to protect their baby.
Isabelle stood up and they started walking home. Jared looked around cautiously, making sure that nothing there would hurt his sweet mate.
A shot gun grazed a tree near them and Jared pushed Isabelle to the side to protect her.
