The rest of the week flew by in a blur and Isabelle became more worried everyday about her baby and what to do. Mike was still on the loose. They haven't been able to find him after he escaped from they while they were rescuing Isabelle but Jared had people out searching for day and night. He wouldn't rest until Mike was brought in for justice.
Jared was by her side twenty four seven but when he wasn't, Abby was keeping her company. For example, right now they were trying to make homemade chocolate pie since Isabelle was in love with pie. Emphasis on trying.
"Abby!" Isabelle yelled at her chocolate splattered everywhere. "Turn that thing off!"
"I'm trying!" Abby yelled back, "stop yelling at me!" A few seconds later, the mixer finally stopped and she opened her eyes and took her hand away from her face to see the mess.
It was worse than she expected, chocolate was literally everywhere. On the ceiling, table, floor, fridge, and themselves.
"Abby!" Isabelle yelled again, "look what you did!"
"Me? You're the one that didn't put the lid on!"
"But you were the one that started the mixer! You should have known to put the lid on!"
Abby had the brilliant idea to use the mixer to mix the chocolate since it would be much faster than using the hand held one or doing it themselves and looked what that got them! It was a repeat of the smoothie disaster all over again! Though this time it wasn't entirely Isabelle's fault. She could only imagine what Jared might do if he saw this.
"You know what! I don't care! Let's get this mess cleaned up before Jared or Luke find out."
They quickly got to work cleaning up the mess but they barely got started when they both walked into the kitchen.
"What happened in here!" Jared bellowed.
Isabelle winced but stood up slowly as to not hurt herself or the baby. "Sorry," she replied sheepishly, "Abby forgot to put on the lid before starting the mixer."
"Me! Stop blaming me!" Abby yelled, "you're the one that forgot to put it on! All I did was start the mixer!"
"And you should have known that if the lid wasn't on, you should put it on. So it's your fault!"
The argued a bit before Jared yelled, "enough! I don't care who's fault it is! You guys made a mess. Now I've got someone coming over here again just like the last time with the smoothie." He looked at Isabelle directly for that and she grinned sheepishly again.
"Abby, come on, let's go get you cleaned up," Luke told her as he took her hand and led her out of the kitchen and up to their room.
Jared looked at Isabelle with his arms crossed for a moment before sighing and holding out his hand, "come on. Let's go get you cleaned up too."
Isabelle took his hand with a small smile, sensing he wasn't mad at her anymore, and they started up the stairs to the top floor. The thing she hated about the top floor was that she got exhausted more easily and it was so high up because she's pregnant.
"I really hate this," Isabelle said out of breath, "you should really put an elevator in here."
Jared chuckled, "you only climbed up to flights of stairs, I don't see why we need to put one in here."
Isabelle glared at him, "I want one. I can't handle walking up all those stairs most of the time, I'm to out of breath." Of course though, she was also lazy and didn't want to do much work.
Jared rolled his eyes, "you were fine with it yesterday."
"Well, I'm obviously not today!"
Jared chuckled again and led her the rest of the way to the room. "Whatever, how about you just go to sleep after you take a shower. You're obviously cranky," he teased.
"I am not!"
"Yes you are, now, go take a shower. I'll be out here waiting for you to be done."'
She groaned but did what she was told. Pretty soon, she was out and dressed and heading off to bed. Yawning, she laid down and looked over at Jared who was holding her close to him. She then closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
