Chapter 25: Birthday (Part 1)

Isabelle woke up to the sound of Olivia's crying voice. It's been almost a month since she was introduced to the pack officially as Luna and it's been going great so far. It been very tiring with Olivia, but she would do anything for her little girl because she loved her so much.

There has been no reports of any action going on with him. It's like he's just given up but she knew that couldn't be so. He would never stop until he had what he wanted, or he was dead. But nevertheless, they did not stop searching for him and bring justice to what was done.

She groaned and got up from bed. It was her turn to take care of their little girl. She had Jared wrapped around her little finger, it was quite funny actually. She finally had to force him to go to bed and actually sleep instead of take care of Olivia. He took care of her as much as possible and he spent hours every day looking for him.

Isabelle walked into her little girls bedroom and picked her, bouncing a bit to get her back to sleep. It took a bit, but a few minutes later, she was soon sleeping peacefully in her mothers arms.

She smiled at her daughter and sat down in the rocking chair. Looking out the window, she watched as snowflakes piled on the ground. There was snow on the ground already for it was the dead of winter now. She sighed as she rocked. It was clearly morning and when she looked at the clock, she saw it was almost nine thirty. Jared should be up any moment.

As if on cue, Jared walked into the room with a yawn and paused in the doorway. He stared down them with a loving smile on his face before crossing the room and bending down to kiss her softly.

"Good morning, sweetheart," he commented softly, "did you sleep well?"

"Yeah," Isabelle nodded before she yawned, "though I could do with a little more. But I'm sure I'll be fine. No need to worry," she quickly added when he opened his mouth to protest.

Jared sighed, "alright. I'll go make breakfast. I'll be right back." He kissed her forehead softly again before quickly striding across the room and to the kitchen.

Isabelle smiled softly as she watched Jared's retreating form. She then closed her eyes and rocked back and forth for a little while longer as she waited for Jared to return.

About twenty minutes later, he returned with her favorite breakfast for the week. Biscuits and gravy with bacon on the side and some eggs too. Isabelle licked her lips as she stared at the breakfast in front of her and slowly got up and put her sleeping daughter back into her crib. She then turned around and took the breakfast that was offered to her.

"Thank you," she told Jared before digging into the heavenly breakfast that was brought to her.

Jared only laughed before doing the same and watching amused as she ate. He would never get tired of her. He loved her with his whole heart and would do anything he could to protect her. He most definitely would not give her up without a fight.

Once they had finished they sat in the room for a while, just watching their daughter. Suddenly Jared stood in front of her and bent down to be eye level with her.

"I'm taking you out tomorrow for your birthday." With that, he left the room to go prepare for what he had planned.
