Isabelle slowly opened her eyes before closing them tight again and wrapping herself tighter in the blankets that were around her. She was so tired and just wanted to sleep, but her body had other ideas. Quickly, she threw back the sheet and ran to the toilet in her and Jared's room and threw the contents up in her stomach. After she was done, she wiped her mouth and did her business in the bathroom before heading back out to the bed and plopping down.

It was then that she remembered what had happened and she sat up in alarm and looked all over herself for any blood. Not seeing anything, which relieved her, she looked over at the clock and saw that it was 2 p.m.! That must have meant she was out for the entire day yesterday and woke up the next day because it had only been about that time when she was at the party with everyone else and...

She shivered, not wanting to think about it and pushed it to the back of her mind. Throwing the blankets off, she raced out of the room to find Jared.

"Jared!" she yelled once she started descending the steps toward his office on the next floor down, which still wasn't the main floor.

There was no particular reason she was looking for him, just that she wanted to be near him and wanted to know what happened yesterday.

She knocked on his door and asked, "Jared?" Not waiting for a reply, she walked right on into the office only to see him with his head down on the desk snoring.

Isabelle giggled at the sight in front of her and walked up behind him. She put her hands on his shoulders and he instantly shot straight up and looked around. "Who is it?"

Isabelle only laughed again and rested her chin on his his shoulder as she wrapped her arms around him, "it's only me doofus."

Jared relaxed under her arms and chuckled, "sorry. I guess I'm just a little jumpy."

"There's nothing to be sorry about," Isabelle said, "you must have been tired."

"I'm alright," Jared said with a yawn. She just looked at him with a raised eyebrow and continued, "alright, I'm not alright. What about you? You should be in bed. There's the baby and what happened yesterday. You should be resting."

"About that," she interrupted, "what did happen yesterday?"

"I don't know," Jared replied, "you were all scared over something and then you passed out."

Images started coming back to her and she stumbled back a few steps as Jared spun around to face her. "Blood," she whispered, "so much blood."

In an instant arms had her in a hold and she was pulled onto a lap. She snuggled into Jared's arms as she started crying. Everything she's been holding in since she's been at that place came flowing out of her at that moment. All her anger, pain, and suffering overflowing everything else and she just couldn't stop it.

It was about an hour later when she finally stopped, her tears having dried up by then having no more to shed. She just sat in Jared's arms the entire time as she cried.

Why me? Why did it have to me? Why couldn't it have been someone else or why did it have to be now? She didn't want to deal with this. It was all just to much. She just wanted to be happy and have a normal life, or as normal as one you can get when you're a werewolf. Why does it all have to happen to her?

She came back to her senses with Jared whispering in her ear and patting her hair, which he had been doing the entire time. "It's alright baby. I know it's not fair but we can get through this, together."

She lifted her head up to look at him with her tear filled eyes, "promise? Because I don't think I can do this without you."

"I promise."

I'm so sorry for not updating for the last three weeks! My house almost burnt down on labor day and I've been busy scrubbing and cleaning the house so I barely have a free moment, especially since I also have school and so much dance going on. I will try to update more but I'm still in the process of getting the place clean. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the chapter even if it is short. (I also couldn't think of a good name to call this chapter, sorry!)
