Unwinding Fate

Chapter 10: Party

Isabelle stood at the edge of the party in a dress that was able to fit her. She felt slightly uncomfortable being around all these people even though she knew them all, minus Daniel's mate and baby boy.

She rubbed her baby bump unconsciously and started to wonder if it was going to be a boy or a girl. This baby, and probably Jared, were the only things keeping her sane and not freaking out all the time. But she did still freak out and have nightmares whenever Jared wasn't around, the only thing she could do was push it to the back of her mind. She just had to stay strong, if not for herself then for the baby and Jared.

Pushing some more of these thoughts to the back of her mind, she moved her attention back to the party. She didn't want to be rude, she needed to talk to somebody.

Isabelle started walking across the yard to Amanda to get to know her and the baby boy Jacob better. She wanted to meet her nephew properly.

Once she made it to them, Isabelle tapped on Amanda's shoulder, drawing her attention to her. Isabelle gave her a smile and was about to say something when Amanda said, "hi Luna! What can I do for you."

"Please, just call me Isabelle." After Amanda nodded and answered with an okay, she continued, "I was wondering if I could hold Jacob here?"

"Of course you can! It'll be better practice for when yours is born." Amanda then handed Jacob over to Isabelle and she took him with a smile. "Thank you Amanda."

"No problem. Anything to help with my mates sister."

Isabelle then started to talk with Amanda about stuff for a few minutes until someone practically jumped on her with squeal.

"Iz! You're okay and finally back home!"

"Abby! Get off of me! You weigh a ton!"

Abby laughed and got of of her. She then grinned sheepishly at Isabelle, "sorry, I'm just so excited to see you out of that damn hospital. It's not very fun or nice."

Isabelle rolled her eyes, "and yet I was the one that had to stay there for two weeks and couldn't go home at night. So consider yourself pretty lucky.

Abby laughed and hugged her again, "I'm just so glad that you're home now. And pregnant! What do you think it's going to be?"

"I don't know," she said with a shrug, "it's more like going to be a surprise I guess. I kind of want it that way."

"Oh, don't worry! I'll be fun! Have you thought of baby names yet?"

"I have, but I haven't came up with anything good. I want it to be a perfect name, and a strong one."

"I'm sure you'll think of somethi-" Abby was cut off as Luke came behind her and lifted her off the ground. "Luke!" Abby yelled, "put me down!"

Luke chuckled and shook his head, "I don't think so."

"Can't you see I'm trying to catch up with Iz here?"

"Yeah, but you also caught up with her all of for the past two weeks! I haven't gotten to spend much time with you." He then looked up at me and said, "oh, and I'm glad that you're back Isabelle, it wasn't the same without you."

"Glad to be back," Isabelle said, "well, I'm just going to go, you guys can do whatever." She then turned around and walked away with Abby protesting behind her.

Isabelle then went to go find her parents or Jared. She hadn't spent much time with her parents and she really wanted to see them. She finally found them beside the snack table when her stomach grumbled loudly. She blushed and quickly went to go find something to eat, not caring she wasn't craving that certain type of food now, she just needed food.

She quickly gathered up her plate, knowing she would speak to her parents after she had it filled. She was just about to start eating when she saw the blood on her hand she dropped the plate with a scream.

Sorry for the very long wait and the terrible chapter, but I figured I should just update. I wasn't really feeling like writing some of the parts so as you could probably tell, I just shortened it, so I'm sorry for that. But anyways, do you like it?
