Chapter 26: Rouge

"What happens to be the problem?" Jared growled when they were finally home again.

"We've spotted some rouges alpha." The man told him immediately.

"Did you go after them?"

"Yes sir."

"Did you catch them?"

"Yes alpha."

"Where are they now?"

"In the cells locked up. We'd figure you might want to question them."

"You called me back from our date just to tell me that you caught some rouges? That could have been taken care of tomorrow! Instead, we had to race back here, away from our date, to take care of this." He growled. "We have not been able to do something like this for a very long time!"

"Yes, but Alpha, this had to do with your mate and child. Mostly your child."

Jared froze at this. "My child? Olivia? What does this have to do with her?"

"I don't know sir, they wouldn't tell us. They wanted to tell you in person.

Jared growled and told Isabelle through mind link to stay in their room with Abby, Luke, and Olivia. Luke for protection and Abby for her friend. He then bounded out to the cells to question the rouge himself, not in the mood to be putting up with them and very angry for threatening his mate and child.

The cells were dark and dank and they ha an old musty smell coming from them. It was all to torture the prisoners more because they didn't deserve to have a clean smelling cell. They were prisoners after all.

He raced right up to the cell with a bang and yelled at the rouge, "what do you want with my mate and child? You can't have them!"

"The rouge just laughed like a crazy person. Jared could barely see them but he could make out his outline and could imagine his expression. "We don't want you're mate anymore. She's not that important. But she would be a nice bonus for the rest of us, including our leader, if we can catch her. But we want you child, and we're going to have her, when you least expect it."

"You are not getting them! You never will! So just leave them alone!" He yelled. Jared stormed into the cell and threw the rouge up against the wall.

The rouge laughed, "oh, that's where you're wrong pup. We've done it once, we can do it once more. Who's to say we haven't done it already? Mike is coming for her, so you better watch you back. He's not going to stop until he has either one, or both."

Jared growled and snapped the rouge's neck in blind rage. He then threw the body down and raced out to see if his mate and daughter were safe and okay.

Please let them be okay! he prayed.

Here's the next update! What do you think? Short, I know. It was quick. Also, I won't be able to update for over a week because I'll be in New Orleans for a national youth gathering. Is anyone else going? Let me know! I'll update either before I leave, or after I'm back. But It'll probably be after I'm back.
