3rd pov:

After settling the creatures back into Newt's case, Genevieve and the others made sure everything was in order. Jacob gently guided the Demiguise to its nest, while Tina carefully placed the baby Occamy under her watchful eye.

They  walked into her room as Tina marveled at the collection of flasks in Genevieve's room, and Genevieve couldn't help but chuckle at Tina's fascination.

"Interesting, isn't it?" Genevieve remarked with a smile.

"Very," Tina replied with a chuckle as she examined the various flasks. She then noticed a frame of photos on Genevieve's desk, showing two kids arm in arm, enjoying a mug of butterbeer amidst a lively crowd. It took Tina a moment to realize it was her and Newt in the photo.

Tina laughed softly, and Genevieve offered her two bottles of daisyroot draught. "Want to drink?" Genevieve asked.

Tina shook her head. "No, thanks."

"Alright then, I'll be out. Don't touch anything though, you never know what's poison," Genevieve teased with a playful warning.

"Okay," Tina replied, chuckling nervously as Genevieve left the room with the beer bottles. Outside, Genevieve was greeted by the mooncalves, and she raised the bottles with a laugh.

"No, honey, it's not for you. It's for Mummy and Daddy, that is if your Papa would drink," Genevieve joked, enjoying the moment of calm after the recent chaos.

Newt paused his chores with the buckets of feed, his mind consumed with thoughts of Genevieve and the recent danger they faced. He couldn't shake off the feeling of emptiness at the thought of almost losing her. What if Gnarlak hadn't tipped off the MACUSA? Would Genevieve have found a way out on her own, or would she have stayed at that risky bar?

Meanwhile, Queenie noticed a framed photo catching her eye as she walked out of the shed. It depicted two happy kids in school uniforms and cloaks, one playfully squeezing the other's cheeks and then hugging him. Beside the frame was a torn box of chocolate frogs. Upon closer inspection, Queenie realized the kids were none other than Genevieve and Newt. She heard Newt's conflicted thoughts and turned to see him with a troubled expression, his hands gripping the edge of the table.

"You should tell her," Queenie gently suggested to Newt. He looked up at Queenie, a mix of frustration and vulnerability in his eyes. "Please don't read my mind," he implored as he returned to his tasks, trying to distract himself.

Unable to ignore his inner turmoil, Queenie sympathetically replied, "I know, I'm sorry, I can't help it. People are easiest to read when they're hurting."

Queenie couldn't resist reading Newt's thoughts, glimpsing the deep bond he shared with Genevieve through their Hogwarts years and beyond. "You two are really close, huh?" she remarked softly, noting the complexity of emotions in Newt's mind.

Newt sighed heavily, a mix of anger and embarrassment coloring his voice as he reminded Queenie not to pry into his thoughts. "I know, I'm sorry, I can't help it. People are easiest to read when they're hurting," Queenie replied, her tone understanding.

Insisting that he wasn't hurting, Newt tried to deflect by focusing on Genevieve's return. "Anyway, she's back, and that's all that matters," he said, forcing a small smile to reassure Queenie.

"But Newt you need to tell her how you feel or you might not get that chance anymore." Queenie said.

"And the great Evie has brought alcohol!" Genevieve said jokingly as she walked towards them, making Queenie and Newt jump.
