A/N: as promised...here's the re-write:)
YOUR POV:
:flashback:
I hid behind the tall woman who was now going to be my Mama. She's very pretty and nice despite the very little conversation I had with her. In front of me stood a group of kids, some were around my age while others were clearly older than me. Mama smiled, "everyone, meet your new sibling, her name is Y/N. I expect you all to treat her kindly and welcome her with open arms."
I peaked around Mama to see the kids staring at me with smiles, all but one who seemed to be skeptical of me with his harsh glare. "Why don't you say 'hi,' Y/N?" Mama asks while looking at me with her kind and beautiful purple eyes.
I shook my head and grabbed hold of the locket around my neck. I'm not sure where or how I obtained this locket necklace, but there was something inside me telling me I couldn't part with it.
Suddenly the room erupted in loud chatter as the kids simultaneously greeted me with large smiles. A girl around my age rushed over to me and grabbed my hands with a bright smile. "My name is Emma! It's sooo nice to meet you! You should totally come and play with me outside!"
I shrugged, "I-I don't know..."
She frowns, "come on, it'll be so much fun! But I won't force you to if you don't want to. I understand."
"Emma, I think you may be scaring her," Mama says to the orange haired girl.
"Ah!" Emma quickly lets go of my hands, "I-I'm so sorry! Don't cry!"
I shake my head, "I'm not crying."
She sighs in relief, "thank goodness! I was so worried I scared you so much, you were going to cry!"
Mama smiles and pats Emma's head, "you're such a kind child, Emma."
Emma smiles brightly up at Mama, it's clear to me that Emma loves her Mama. She looks at her with such admiration.
Mama announces that it was time for recess as everyone flooded outside to the field. Some kids ran out and into the forest while others stayed on the field, setting up a game of hide and seek. Emma was one of those people.
I stood off to the side as I noticed the boy from earlier who had been glaring at me, sitting under a tree and reading a book. I stared at him for a while before realizing that Emma had been in front of me, calling out my name.
I jumped and looked to see Emma standing in front of me with a boy beside her, "do you wanna come play hide and seek with us Y/N?"
"O-Oh," I began to get flustered, "I don't know."
"Please~?" Emma begs, "I want you to play with us! Pretty, pretty, please!"
The boy beside her sighs, "Emma, maybe she can play later. Why don't you ask?"
The boy beside Emma has hair as white as snow and bright blue eyes, he was almost in complete contrast to Emma. The boy smiles at me, "my name's Norman. I'm sorry if she's bothering you."
"I'm not bothering anyone!" Emma exclaims, "I'm not...right?"
I shake my head, "n-no."
Emma smiles, "see Norman? I'm not bothering her. Oh yeah, why don't you play with us later then?"
I nod, "I-I'll play later, is that okay?"
She nods and sticks out her pinky finger, "you've gotta pinky promise me! And you can't break it!"
I lock our fingers hesitantly, "promise."
Emma squeals and grabs Norman's hand, "let's go play then! We'll get you later Y/N!" Emma runs off with Norman behind her.
Emma is like the sun. She's bright and appears to always be happy. She shines so bright that it's almost blinding. Her bright orange hair and bright green eyes. She's the defining trait of the sun.
But Norman on the other hand, is like the stars. He's bright just like the sun, but seems to be a lot more calm and level headed. He's also the complete opposite of Emma in terms of looks with his white hair, pale complexion and bright blue eyes.
And then you have the mysterious boy under the tree. He was so alluring and I don't even think he was trying to be.
"You know, it's rare for a kid my age to suddenly show up." I blinked and noticed that I had walked over to him without even noticing. "Mama doesn't bring in kids my age often. They're always babies."
He shuts his book and looks at me with his dark green eyes, "I heard you promise Emma to play their game later," he looks at the field to find a small group of kids who were caught and complaining about it, "she gets upset if her promises are broken. So try not to break it, okay?"
I cross my arms, "I don't plan on it."
He looks back at me, "my name is Ray."
"Y/N," I say. I notice small freckles on his cheeks that somehow made him more alluring.
"That locket," he starts, "where did you get it from?"
I look down at the necklace, "I-I don't know."
Ray doesn't respond and goes back to reading his book, "you're welcome to sit down if you'd like. I don't bite."
"Oh I don't want to be—."
"I wouldn't have offered if I didn't want you over here," he says as he returns to being quiet.
I silently sit down beside him and watch more kids get caught in their game of hide and seek.
If Emma is the sun and Norman is the stars, then that makes Ray the moon. His hair as dark as nighttime and dark green eyes that hold so many secrets. He was quiet than the other two and got straight to the point.
However, despite their personalities, I noticed something about them and each child here. Each one has an identification number on their neck, each one different than the other. I knew why that was, because this place was a farm for those monsters I saw a few hours ago.
I didn't know the details, especially since they figured I was unconscious before coming here, which I wasn't. I didn't remember anything prior to those monsters and being here though. And that bothered me. A large chunk of my memories were gone and a blur.
"Y/N!" Emma exclaims running up to me, "let's go play now! You promised!"
I glanced at Ray for a moment, "sure," I smile as I stand up, "let's go play."
My numbers were the most unique.
All zeros.
