A/N: Pookie (Gerard Way) got sighted again I'm losing it
YOUR POV:
The next morning, breakfast and testing went by quickly. Mama didn't seem suspicious of Emma or Norman, despite their horrible acting. Recess came fairly quickly today, yet Ray and I found ourselves under the tree. Instead of climbing up in the tree, I stayed beside Ray as he read.
"Do you think they'll tell us?" I ask.
"Probably not," Ray replies, "would you tell someone?"
I shake my head, "no and I didn't. But those two," I trail off, "aren't as good as hiding their emotions as we are. I mean, did you see them this morning?"
He smirks, "I did. They were pretty awful at it."
"I swear every time Mama looked away they would frown," I continue, "I'm surprised nobody said anything to them. Oh right, Ray, since you know the truth, what is your plan?"
"My plan?" He asks.
I nod, "you said you sent out those two last night...care to explain?"
He shuts his book and looks at me, "I took Little Bunny and set Emma and Norman up."
My eyes widen, "so that was your plan...what do you gain from that?"
He shrugs with a smirk, "who knows?"
I hit his arm playfully, "why won't you tell me?!"
He thumps my forehead as I rub it in pain, "you'll know in time."
Mama rang the bell a couple times to indicate that recess time was over. We all gathered around Mama as she looked between each of us, "is everyone here?"
Emma and Norman rushed up to the group and doubled over from being out of breath. "Hm," Gilda hums, "we're missing two kids."
"Mama!" Mark calls as he rushes toward us, "Nayla and I were playing in the forest b-but I can't find her!"
Mama smiles softly, "don't worry. I'll go and find them." She pulls out her pocket watch, "you all stay here, I'll be back shortly." Mama walks off toward the forest and vanishes before us.
A few minutes later she returns with a sleeping Nayla in her arms. "It seems that she got tired and fell asleep. She's not hurt at all."
"Thank goodness!" Mark cries.
I glance over at Ray who stands beside me, "how did she know where she was?" I whisper as I look to see him looking at Emma and Norman who were frozen with fear. Ray blinks and looks at me, "you're smart. Figure it out."
Later in the day whilst kids were outside doing laundry, Ray and I were inside cooking dinner. I hated making dinner but at least Ray made it somewhat enjoyable. Ray never seemed to mind doing the chore, it was probably nice for him to get away from the others and just relax.
I stirred the pot, "back to what happened earlier," I begin, "do you know how she found Nayla so quickly?"
"I'm going to tell you again idiot," Ray says, "figure it out yourself."
I huff, "you just like seeing me struggle!"
He shrugs, "I guess we'll never know."
I stop stirring and hit Ray on his arm, "you're so mean to me!"
"Yeah but you never cry, so clearly I'm not that mean," Ray says.
"Oh?" I cross my arms, "so if I cry then you'll stop being mean?"
"No," he replies, "I like watching you get upset."
I stick my tongue out at him playfully, "I'm worried about Emma and Norman, what if they get caught?"
