YOUR POV:

By the time lunch was ready, I was ready to eat. I was starving considering I didn't have breakfast this morning. Everything was going fine up until now, everyone was laughing and smiling...so why did the music suddenly begin to play through the speakers?

"The music?!" Nigel exclaims.

"It's too early!" Pepe adds, "it's only been a day!"

"It's okay everyone!" Oliver announces, "it's early sure, but we're all prepared. Let's kill the monsters just how we planned." He smiles, "imagine, by tomorrow, we'll all be free. This horrid playground will be destroyed. We humans will win, so let's not be discouraged."

Everyone ran for their weapons and into their groups. It had been decided that those won't fight will hide with Lucas while we will distract and fight off the demons.

There were four groups.

Bayon will be killed by Gillian and Nigel.

Nous and Nouma will be killed by Sonya and Sandy, while Paula and Violet watch from the shadows as backup.

Luce will be left to everyone else.

Which leaves me to deal with Leuvis alone.

I stood in the village square staring at Leuvis who was in front of me. Seeing a demon so up close felt surreal, like this was some terrible nightmare.

"So we meet again, did you get my message?" He asks curiously.

I nod, "yeah. You said to come and hunt you down."

"My name is Leuvis, and you are Y/N, correct?" My eyes widen, "one of the highest quality meats at Grace Field, all zeroes, Y/N." Despite having a mask covering his entire face, I could practically feel his smirk. "You see, Grace Field has the highest quality meat."

"I have a message for you too, from Lucas. He wants to know if his arm was delicious," I ask.

"Ah, I knew that explosion earlier felt familiar. I'm surprised that he's still alive, and to think that he organized a whole secret rebellion!" Leuvis beamed, "I'm so ecstatic!"

"But I have another message: 'how about we play a game, just like on that day?'" I quote.

"A game..?" Leuvis then laughs hysterically, "ah! That game!"

I nod, "the same game. A fair hunt for fifteen minutes. You won't attack me for the first ten."

"You're proposing the same game, hm? It's not necessary though. You just need to buy time, yes?" I was startled by his response, "just like how Lucas used it that night. Even if I agree, you won't attack me. You think you can't kill me on your own."

My eyes narrowed, "wanna bet?"

He laughed again, "you are a strong child." He turns around and sits down on the well that stands in the center of the square. "I shall wait. Did you say fifteen or ten?" He teases, "however, if your friends are not here in ten minutes, then it shall be you and me."

"Deal."

There was a lot at stake here. It was possible that everyone would die and the demons would win. It was possible that nobody would show up to aid me in the full scale attack like planned. It was possible that nobody was going to blow their whistle to signal a demon had been defeated.

It was possible I was going to die here.

While Leuvis sat patiently awaiting for the timer to end and for ten minutes to be up, I stood there anxiously. Everything could go wrong. And I mean everything.
